Lottery Player’s Winnings “Stolen”, Thief Missing

A man from Fuyang who won 6 million RMB on the China Welfare Lottery Union Lotto draw has spent over two years chasing his winnings after they were falsely claimed by another person. Li Yongzhi bought his ticket as usual by calling his local lottery parlor. Discovering he had won, Li went to claim his ticket, but boss Pan Pan denied ever selling him it. Li later discovered Pan’s relative Wang Wenjun had claimed the winnings. Despite Li winning the ensuing court case, he is yet to see his money and Wang has disappeared. Many netizens doubted the story, with one saying it was a good ad for the lottery company.

He bought the ticket through a broker who simply sent him the number of his ticket while keeping the actual ticket. I can not imagine who would be dumb enough to do this but apparently it not an uncommon thing to do here, that is why he won his court case. So the broker gave the winning ticket to his brother and they split the money.
