Man beats homeless dog and is harassed massively online

A homeless dog guilty of nothing more severe than once barking at children was beaten heavily with a stick to the point of being hospitalized. Netizens quickly found the contact information of the man who beat the dog and spread it around the internet. The perpetrator has in the past 24 hours had his phone ringing completely off the hook with outraged netizens. Even his innocent coworker has dealt with the repercussions. He has apologized but the general consensus among Chinese netizens is to not forgive him.

The thing to learn from cases like this is that I wonder if a person will abuse cute animals, what will that person do to another person if he doesn’t like him?

  • WghUk

If only same could be done to those who eat dogs.

    • James

yeah but they are so delicious.

  • Super Bunny!

    apology????
apology the d…k! why need to apology!
these fking angry netizens are just fking annoying, guess some of their moms are still sufferring at home, but they even do not think about it.
plus: i am a dog hater!

    • Vance

You said in another post that you either had a dog already or were thinking of getting a dog. Sounds like you want to start something. I guess that is what the people here call trolling.

      • Super Bunny!

i only wanna keep a dog as toy poodle, small and quiet.
not homeless dogs, i hate most.

        • Vance

          Toy poodles are good dogs.

          • Super Bunny!

today i saw a very pretty one in market, that woman said 1200rmb, my mother is a dog hater, so she took me away.
it’s so pretty. brown body, white belly, only a bit white hair on the head .it’s mixed, so pretty.

          • Vance

We call those 2 colored toy poodles “party poodles”. I don’t know why. Too bad. That would be a very low price here where they often sell for $500. (Multiply that by 16 to get the price in RMB.) You would probably enjoy a dog like that very much.

          • David

6 not 16. That would be 3000 RMB.

          • Vance

Is it 6 now? Man the $ took a hit recently.

          • David

It has been 6 for many years Vance. Even 10 years ago it was only 8 to 1 so I am not sure when you are referring to.

          • bujiebuke

lol Vance, the exchange rate between China and US has never been above 9.

          • Vance

Oh I know where I got that number from. I had read recently that the Yuan was exchanging at about 16 cents. So, yea there is about 6 of these in a dollar. I just made the mistake of thinking 16 to the dollar.

Did you even see a picture of the dog that was beat? It was a tiny black fluffy dog. Yes, this guy beat a dog the size of a cat and claimed it was attacking his son when the dog was running away from them. The only thing the dog did was bark, which almost all dogs do. I wish I could beat babies on planes for crying but I guess I can’t.

Also I have no idea how suffering moms is related to beating an innocent animal so I’m not sure why you included that in your comment. You are an awful human being, all dogs deserve to be loved, even the ones that aren’t small and cute. Dogs that are rabid and behave poorly usually happen because they have bad owners. Almost all of my neighbors have dogs and most of them are large dogs. The worst offense they ever commit is pooping on public grass.

      • do not care, i am a dog hater, dog here means big dog, bark a lot dog, wild scary dog.

        • Maggie Love

right, and you consider owning a small dog for pet? you are just, a really bad person

        • Vance

You’ve posted before that you want to get a small dog, so you must not completely hate dogs.

  • Jahar

He isn’t sorry he did it, he’s sorry he has to deal with unexpected repercussions.

  • TheInconvenientRuth

Right… beating a dog is a no no…. but eating a dog after killing it is totally fine in a few provinces…. Hmmmkay….

    • bujiebuke

your assuming that the netizens who condemned the dog beating are also the one’s who eat dog, this is likely false.

    • Vance

To be fair, here eating a pig is ok, but intentionally abusing that pig before making it into pork chops is actually a crime with fines and even jail time. Also, places that raise pigs are expected to provide decent living conditions for them while raising them. It’s just that here, dogs are NEVER livestock, so we can’t think of them in this manner. Now I must go get some lunch. All this talk of pigs and pork chops is making me hungry!

I had a situation with dogs when I was in ChongQing. I accidentally lost the people I was with and the only way for me to get home (not knowing the names of the streets we were staying at, but knowing where it was) was to walk for about an hour down a dark highway. I tell ya, these farmers with dogs raise up some scary ass dogs. About every five minutes a dog would run out at me snarling and barking and just very hostile. I thought to myself, if it came down to it, I’d probably have to give a boot to one of these dogs. Fortunately, it never came down to that.

Not saying that’s what happened here. In fact, it’s pretty difficult to tell what happened here as the story has been presented in the new ChinaSmack format…. bleak and bare. :)

Finally some progress towards animal rights in China… somehow. People are awakening awareness towards animals.
