Middle School Teacher’s Letter of Resignation Goes Viral

Middle School Teacher’s Letter of Resignation Goes Viral

A surprisingly short letter of resignation written by a middle school psychology teacher recently went viral. The letter, which was only 10 characters long, simply said “The world is big, I want to see it.” and nothing more. Despite the letter’s boldness, school leadership approved the teacher’s resignation, and she has already left the school. Online comments about the letter showed overwhelming support for the teacher, with many netizens wishing they were brave enough to do the same thing.

too many men, i wanna try shemale!

    • mr.wiener

Well… the world is big and you want to see it.

    • Same equipment in the end, assuming you’re talking about pre/non-op as most people do in the context.

Also, for the record, ‘shemale’ is considered a slur among actual trans people. I know most fetishists don’t really mean malice in its use, but it’s an obsolete, insensitive term kind of on par with ‘negro’ in the English language.

      • DD Bear!

        lalala!

what you wrote is too complex to me, i do not get it!
watching stocks everyday drive me dizzy!
but all my stocks are red, wakakakaka!

        • I am usually too complex for most people to get. I’m used to it.

          • Paul

            don’t confuse self-righteousness with complexity.

          • Yeah, I’m sure you’re pretty basic.

          • mr.wiener

“wakawakawaka”… This is a bit like having a conversation with Fozzie bear.

          • bujiebuke

omg is it her?? How many times can she be resurrected?

          • mr.wiener

Dare I say it?….”Kill it with fire!!”

          • bujiebuke

In the manner of imgur, we’re going to need an old priest and a young priest.

          • Amused

Pretty sure there’s supposed to be some beheading and an iron stake thru the heart involved as well…

      • Max Kolodka

Tired of tiny minority groups expecting the world to bend to their wishes…Who cares what people call shemales…Suck it up, just like I have to suck up my puke every time I see a photo of Bruce Jenner on the cover of a magazine while in the checkout line…On this subject, I was with my 5 year old nephew in Boston on the day of a gay pride parade, I pray that he was not permanently psychologically damaged by the sight of hairy men in ass-less studded leather chaps along with the overt/vulgar display of near pornographic sexuality..I got him out of the area as quickly as possible…Why does showing pride in your sexuality have to include humping giant blow up penises & inserting small rodents into each others rectums in public? All it serves to accomplish is turning others off, I would be just as sickened if straight people were doing such disgusting things…If I were gay/a ladyboy I would be embarrassed & ashamed by the prevailing culture in the LGBT community. Shoving your beliefs down others throats in such a way doesn’t work, people just silently contempt you…Acting normal & showing you’re just like everyone else(as many gays & trannys/shemales are) would would be much more effective…The LGBT ‘community’ definitely has succeeded in silencing people, I’ll give you that..

        • If you’re going around blowing chunks every time you see Bruce Jenner (who hasn’t even transitioned yet and has basically looked the same for years), I think you’re the one who’s overly sensitive.

It’s strange you concede that ‘many’ LGBT people are ‘like everyone else’ and yet you still insist on insulting them in some vague revenge for the fringe that is too ‘vulgar’ for you… of which the ‘normal’ ones don’t even constitute.

Typical prejudice. I’ll be sure to condemn and insult you the next time somebody of Slavic descent does something I find objectionable. After all, clearly you deserve it by mere association.

          Bloody nonsense.

          • Max Kolodka

I could care less if someone insults myself or slavic people…Are gay pride parades truly fringe? I find that very hard to believe. I’ve never heard of any prominent LGBT members/organizations speaking out against what are essentially permanent fixtures in said parades(Read: Not random anomalous occurences, rather being ever present). I find sights like this to be far more offensive than a Christian bakery refusing service to a gay couple: http://www.blogwrath.com/gay-issues/what-many-kids-saw-at-torontos-pride-parade-2012/3103/

          • You find sexuality more offensive than discrimination. Well, ok, I guess we all know what kind of person you are, thanks for being honest at least. Nobody I’d want to spend time with, that’s for damn sure.

          • Max Kolodka

One could say it’s discrimination to expect a Christian to abandon their personal religious beliefs by forcing them to facilitate in some part a gay wedding..Myself, I would’ve been more than happy to take their money! Also, flamboyant gay men make the best friends. Back to the bakery subject again, it was overtly Christian! My guess is the couple were looking for controversy/a payday…Just a theory..

          • Rose

Wow, men and women were walking around naked in that parade while kids were right there in the middle of it all. Is Canada just that more open or is that what parades look like in the US as well? http://www.blogwrath.com/gay-issues/what-many-kids-saw-at-torontos-pride-parade-2012/3103/

          • mr.wiener

It’s a bit like saying all Slavs are bad because of the Serbs.

        • bujiebuke

Replace the topic with Jews or Blacks instead of transgender and reread what you wrote. Acceptance is relative, most people don’t hold the same preconceived notions of the 19th century. Transgenders or whatever they want to be called, will eventually gain acceptance similar to other minorities in the past.

        • mr.wiener

They were really inserting rodents into each other’s rectums in public?
Could it be that you are over exaggerating just a tiny bit?

          • Vance

CHinasmack…the only place in my favorites list where
“Teacher resigns to see the world” becomes “rodents in rectums”. Maybe that teacher will want to reconsider seeing the world.

          • Maximus

Haven’t you seen that South Park episode? Poor Lemmiwinks….

          • mr.wiener

Yes , that is all well and good, back in my day it was all runors about Richard Geer… but as usual you have sidestepped the question, was this octivity occuring in public when you were out with your nephew?
My next question would be ,how is it that you were not aware there was a gay pride march on that you just happened to stumble across with your young impressionable charge?

I smell shenanigans with this story.

          • Maximus

Hey! Mr. Weiner, please don;t be so tough on me! Sorry if I came across as a ‘hater’..I’m totally not. Yes, I was being facetious/exaggerating to make a point..I thought it was obvious. No, I didn’t suddenly come upon the parade..It was very clear that some sort of Gay event was going on in downtown Boston..I wanted to check it out! What I witnessed, I was entirely not expecting..I’ve done research since, I truly feel gay pride parades overall do a disservice to the LGBT community, and if things remain as they are…I feel that children should absolutely not be allowed to attend.

          • mr.wiener

I get the feeling you went to the march for the same reason some Chinese folk come to CS. …So you could feel indignant.
Many members of the LGBT “community” would probably agree with you however and see these festivals and popular perceptions of their lifestyles as embarrassing.Perhaps in the future in the if we have become more accepting of other people’s sexuality they will lose any semblence of relevance they now hold….but I won’t be holding my breath.

          • Maximus

Video for you Mr. Weiner, testing out my new cam!

            https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GckJYxwOVRs

          • Maximus

Ooops, here is the video I made for you Mr. weiner…Don’t ban me for speaking the truth!
            https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I7jjVq9z3og

          • Jahar

If this was happening, and the penis humping or whatever, in a parade, yeah I could agree with him.

          • mr.wiener

I don’t think they could get planing permission for that…not even in Sydney.

    • KamikaziPilot

Maybe you can go to Thailand. Best looking shemales, or so I’ve heard.

      • mr.wiener

The katoi are quite wonderful , tragic/comic/ magnificent.

        • KamikaziPilot

Tragic? Haha, now I really want to go visit, but only to see not touch.

          • Why is the tragedy of systemic discrimination and social marginalization funny?

And I doubt you could resist trying in person.

            http://media.tinngan.vn:6060/archive/images/2015/04/12/112538_sao9.jpg

(Not that you’d see Siripatsorn “Sammy” Atthayakorn at a hostess bar.)

          • KamikaziPilot

Oh cmon girl, it was just a joke. I found wiener’s comment funny because I don’t see how they’re tragic at all. Actually just the opposite of tragic, they’re living their lives how they want. My will power is pretty strong but some of them do look really hot, on the surface at least.

          • Most trans sex workers in the world are in sex work because they can’t find regular jobs. I personally find nothing wrong with making money that way, but so many are not “living their lives how they want.” Indeed, most have had to decide between their authentic selves vs. their families, careers, and by extension their futures. Their tragedies are real and deep.

          • KamikaziPilot

Well yes, but then all sex workers lives are tragic to an extent, whether they be female, male or trans. Regarding non-sex worker trans, everything is relative, by changing genders they’re probably happier than they would be if they haven’t. Besides there’s growing acceptance so it’s not like their lives are always tragic.

          • You do not understand. A cisgender woman, all things being equal (not a criminal, drug addict, etc.), can get a job that’s not sex work with relative ease. In many countries, including Thailand, that is not the case for transgender women. They are pushed to it even if they have skills and education because companies won’t hire them. Cisgender women have far more agency and personal choice about sex work than transgender women.

And relative happiness… yes, considering that so many get to the point of transition where they choose it over suicide. Anything is happier in that context. They could not be happy, or even often *live*, anymore without transitioning. That doesn’t mean that everything is great afterward. Often it’s hellish, but you have something to fight for, a reason to live at that point, so you fight, but your standards of happiness, what you even accept in your life, are fundamentally lowered compared to cis people. Being disowned, being unable to find love, being marginalized, being harassed and viewed with thinly veiled contempt by swaths of society, these are all written off as the cost of being yourself, of at least *being capable* of being happy, even if you have to work like a slave to get so much as a glimmer.

It’s an open secret around here, so if you’re not already apprised, I am a transgender woman. I speak to these matters with direct experience.

          • DD Bear!

so, now you are a woman or man?
i do not get it very well.
no wonder i feel you do not look like a woman neither man.

          • I am in the process of becoming a woman. I’ve been in varying degrees of transition for a year, on hormones for about half that time, and as such I am undergoing a second puberty. I’m hormonally female now, but it will take another year or so before all the characteristics from the hormones are in full effect. That, and I have tens of thousands of dollars of surgeries and treatments ahead of me. So I’m not surprised that I look androgynous to many people in spite of my best efforts. That and I just look bad in photos. Always have.

          • DD Bear!

            wow!
you must be damn rich to do this kinda nonsense.
i am buying an apt, can you borrow me some money, at least it’s much more worthy.

          • Somehow I doubt you have the depth for a competent comparison of worth. And I do make good money actually. My whole compensation package is in the low six figures. ^_^ Not bad for a transgender college drop out. And the guys I date still buy me dinner! :D

Can’t wait to go to Thailand next year for medical tourism! I’ll probably be hotter than you after that! XD hehehehehe

          • DD Bear!

            you made kids already?
or at least you should keep your sperm alive somewhere….

          • KamikaziPilot

When are you gonna have kids? Do you want kids? I have a hard time imagining you as a mother.

          • DD Bear!

            none your business!

          • Such an ironic thing to say after asking somebody else…

          • KamikaziPilot

            Such a feisty girl!!!

          • I have two in fact. My wife had a third that wasn’t mine, which gave rise to a phrase I’m going to use as the title of my memoir if I ever write one: “Try not to get lipstick on your paternity test sample…”

          • heavyshift

          • mr.wiener

Kind of a permanent solution to a temporary problem wouldn’t you say?

          • bujiebuke

“you must be damn rich to do this kinda nonsense.”

God fucking damn if that’s not the most hilarious thing I’ve read all month! I’m still trying to wipe away the tears from the laughter. You are a new kind of crazy!

          • KamikaziPilot

Yeah she’s a real basket case, and that was really funny the way she said it with her broken english.

          • bujiebuke

Do you also read her writing in a high-pitched voice with broken English?

          • KamikaziPilot

How’d you know!! Have you seen her picture before when she was having an argument with Kate? If you did it’s easy to imagine her going off the deep end.

          • bujiebuke

I must have been on hiatus when that happened. I’ve had the unfortunate experience to meet real life examples of her, so I can make an educated guess on her speech based on her writings. Ugh, I hope you never actually meet her in real life…

          • Vance

Yes!! That is exactly the picture I get. Kind of a whiny “that’s not fair!” kind of tone if you know what I mean. I actually get the impression that she is discovering some of this stuff for the first time and does not quite know what to make of it.

          • mr.wiener

She makes it sound so tempting though! A new apt or assuming the gender you always wanted to be….What to do?

          • bujiebuke

            She’s like a Chinese Sarah Palin…

          • hehehehe!

          • bujiebuke

There will always be exceptions to even the most draconian rules

          • Vance

To tell you the truth, I rather enjoy having DDBear…uh…Monster…uh whoever on here. I’m late comer here. I missed all these classics you guys keep referring to, so I guess I just see here as someone with an interesting view on things. The exchanges between some of you and here are the best entertainment I’ve had in awhile.

          • Jahar

            rude.

          • KamikaziPilot

I don’t know the difference between a cisgender and transgender. I’m not making light of their struggles, but again I just found the comment amusing. I don’t have any problem with transgenders myself, but I don’t think I should walk on eggshells because I think I may offend someone when I think a comment is funny. Why don’t you lecture wiener, he’s the one who originally made that comment. Yes I know you’re a transgender, you’ve mentioned it many times, but I don’t judge based on that, at least not consciously.

          • I know you found it amusing, that’s exactly why I jumped on your case, because our very real tragedies are not amusing. Mr.wiener was trying to be serious. He wasn’t making a joke. But you saw ‘tragic’ and were all like, haha! Tragedy! I mean come on, this isn’t PC hairsplitting, I’m actually not that kind of person, but when somebody is *literally* laughing at the tragic conditions that face transgender people, I’m going to call it out for what it is.

          • mr.wiener

I call them likevI see them…

          • ^_^ exactly so.

          • KamikaziPilot

You see what you did with your original comment about them being tragic/comic/magnificent. I blurted out laughing and now you got Sophia on my case for doing so. BTW how are they “comic”. Better watch out, Sophia will read it.

          • mr.wiener

Comic?..Just because they are, especially the really flamboyant Katoy. Like birds of paradise they flaunt their plumage and chatter and shrill, more girly than girls, but with an undercurrent of sadness, because they have gained who they wanted to be , but lost so much.

          • KamikaziPilot

I don’t mean to offend anyone but I’m still laughing at the way you describe them, though I know you’re right.

          • Vance

I had an uncle become an aunt when I was very young so I know this story. These people must REALLY REALLY WANT THIS in order to go through so much to make it happen. In my uncle/aunt’s case, unfortunately she didn’t pursue this until she was married with three children. None of them have ever really recovered. I wish Sophia the best and hope it all goes as well for her as it can.

          • KamikaziPilot

So when wiener also called them “comic” it wasn’t a joke? How about “magnificent”? Anyways I didn’t even think about the real tragedies that trans do face. The comment just sounded like it was a critique of an opera or play. I’m not laughing at their challenges, it was just the comment, it could have been a comment about any group really and I would have laughed. It could have been about Chinese nerds who study all day just to pass the gaokao, or english teachers in China. All I can say is I empathize with injustices brought upon anyone and I think you took my comment the wrong way.

          • In spite of our reputation for being landmines, trans people often have a good sense of humor. You often have to laugh at yourself first as a defense mechanism, and that’s what underpins the talents of a lot of good comedians.

            http://www.advocate.com/comedy/2013/03/18/5-hottest-transgender-comedians

I took it in that way because I’ve been around CS quite a while and think I have enough understanding of mr.wiener to know he wouldn’t have meant it in some malicious way.

Lastly, saying the word ‘comic’ is not in itself a joke or funny.

          • KamikaziPilot

Landmines? Are you guys/girls going to blow up or something if I step on your toes? Nah, I understand what you’re saying. Probably due to all the challenges they face they might be more sensitive or dramatic than others. Then it would really help to have a sense of humor. How long have you been lurking here? Just curious. And if you’ve been here a while hopefully you’d also know I didn’t mean what I said maliciously either, at worst it was in bad taste.

          • I have been on CS for years. I used to post as ElectricTurtle before my transition. (e.g. http://www.chinasmack.com/2014/pictures/gay-kissing-competition-in-chengdu-chinese-netizen-reactions.html#comment-1424883198 )

I’ve certainly seen you around but I don’t have a particularly detailed feeling for your character, and even if I did the reaction was prima facie terrible.

          • KamikaziPilot

Oh I remember you, though like yourself I don’t remember much except your name and I do remember you mentioning something about your gender identity. But Electric Turtle was a pretty cool name.

          • Jahar

The tragedy is in the discrimination and the fact they are destined for a horrible future. Not sure if I remember correctly, but the life expectancy post-op is 20-30 years.

          • It depends on where you are and what care you’re getting. I know several post-ops from the 1970s that are still in good shape.

          • Jahar

Obviously how long you live depends on many factors, but that’s a pretty nasty average.

          • Vance

My aunt that did this lived 25 years after. She lived on Cape Cod where gays can run hand in hand in Provincetown and no one thinks twice about it. Still, in that liberal community, she was considered a pariah.

          • Jahar

he didn’t say the tragedy was in the discrimination. That’s all u.

          • Regardless of where exactly the tragedy is, it’s definitely not funny. And mr.wiener in qualifying what he originally meant later on highlighted “rejection” as one of the tragic elements he was trying to convey which is synonymous with both discrimination and marginalization.

      • Jahar

the hottest girls in cambodia are the guys.
