Myanmar Driver Says Innocent Chinese Jailed In Logging Case

A Chinese truck driver who was involved in the recent illegal logging activity in Myanmar has revealed that the 153 Chinese nationals who were jailed include eight women who had no part in it. The fortunate Yang Yun (alias), who was able to flee back to China and avoid capture, says the Myitkyina court has sentenced his restaurant-running aunt to 20 years too. He also says 22 arrested Burmese have all been released. The Chinese embassy in Myanmar has reminded the prisoners they have 60 days to appeal, and is working towards their release. One netizen lamented how Myanmar thought of the Chinese as nothing.

Well better re open that case… the truck driver said they didnt do it. Why are these upstart nations allowed to pick on China?

    • Jahar

      It’s not fair, is it?

    • DC

these upstarts are acting up only because they’re feeling the love from the US pivot…wait till they get abandoned and you’ll see them on groveling on all fours..

      • mr.wiener

Then China will get that dam they wanted and their direct from China to the Indian ocean highway…Those ingrate Burmese bums!!

        • David

“Its called Myanmar now, but it will always be Burma to me.”

  • DD Bear!

someone i know killed a person many yrs ago there, then got back.
listened my father’s advice went to another city, now become a big boss.

    • Foreign Devil

So your dad helps murderers to hide their crime? He is an expert in this sort of thing? Explains a lot.

      • DD Bear!

        kill you!
my father just tried to help him, what’s the matter?
he killed a foreigner then what? report him? for what?

        • Foreign Devil

Oh your right. . I guess because he was a “foreigner” he deserved to be killed. . you psycho!

          • DD Bear!

            then what to do ?
go back there ask the local gov to kill him instead?

        • Foreign Devil

Depends on the circumstance. If it was a cold blooded murder. then yes reporting it would be the right thing to do. But at least not choosing to help a murderer get away with it would be the right thing to do. If my friend murdered someone at the very least I would not want to ever see that person in my life again.

          • DD Bear!

if your son killed a black guy in africa , you would report him too?

          • Foreign Devil

Depends on the circumstances. . if he was attacked by some guys in Africa who want to beat him up and killed one them defending himself I would defend him. If he murdered someone in Africa.. because they insulted him or a business deal didn’t go his way or whatever. . I would want him to face consequences for his actions. I don’t care the race of the persons involved.

          • DD Bear!

so, you do have a son!
and you are divorced aged hahaha!

          • Foreign Devil

divorced? Your avoiding the topic at hand.

          • DD Bear!

            you are not??then???
seems no one gives u a fk so come here blahblah …

      • DD Bear!

you dare to insult my father, you get out, kick your ass!
my father is the kindest person i ever know, almost close to saint.
        kill you!

        • Foreign Devil

Of course you are going to defend your father not matter what he does. That is expected. What are the circumstances that caused your fathers friend to kill this foreign guy? He killed a Burmese person?

          • DD Bear!

yes, he went there doing business, then had a fight against several local guys then killed a local guy in mess.
who knows any way! he is not just a friend, i can not tell more.

        • hess

A saint who advices murderers how to get away with their crime lol

          • DD Bear!

            you shut up too!

  • James

no it’s not you idiot. you’re not guilty just because you know something.

    • guest

According to this article, it just wasn’t logging, one of the women was arrested and jailed for drug possession as well. I wonder if that’s the auntie he’s talking about.

    • David

If you are part of a criminal enterprise (i.e. in another country illegally, supporting guys who are cutting down trees illegally and getting paid by them) yes, you are guilty. Also, if you fail to report a crime before during or after, you are guilty in many countries of being a an accomplish as well as conspiracy. Why would she be there instead of in China if she was nto involved?

  • DC

if you think the Chinese legal system is a joke…Myanmar takes it to a whole new universe..

    • Foreign Devil

Yes it is a joke as long as it continues to use torture and to punish lawyers and social activists who are just trying to fight for better conditions and real justice in China.

      • DC

stay with me here..try saying M-y-a-n-m-a-r….
