Myanmar Tells China Not To Interfere With Illegal Logging Case

A recent Agence France Presse report said that Myanmar has told China not to interfere with a recent case that saw 153 Chinese citizens jailed for illegal entry and logging within its borders. The ruling saw one Chinese citizen jailed for 35 years, 150 for 20 years and two minors for 10 years after a court in Myitkyina ruled their activities unlawful. China’s Foreign Affairs Ministry spokesman Lu Kang expressed that China had repeatedly requested Myanmar to consider the actual situation of the loggers and deal with them in a reasonable and fair way. One netizen invited Burmese to try it in China.
