Students obtain hug coupons allowing them to hug beautiful teacher

Before a class at Chongqing University of Posts and Telecommunications was dismissed last Friday, every student received a gift from teacher Xiong Anya – a lollipop and a bilingual hand-drawn card. After receiving the gift, many students exclaimed, “Ms. Xiong is too kind and adorable!” Ms. Xiong said the reason for her drawings is to encourage greater student participation in class. Students also receive “hug coupons” which permit them one hug each. She hopes that by reducing the distance between teachers and students, students will feel more comfortable asking questions and voicing criticism.

  • Beauty is in the eye of the beholder of course but she looks rather plain to me. (assuming that’s actually her and not a stock photo.)

    • Mihel

What has her appearance to do with anything?

    • Super Bunny!

      now you look 不男不女 more!
      hahahaha!
      ahahahaha!

      • i’d lecture you on how tasteless it is to actually laugh at a person’s appearance to their face, but it’d be lost on you. Your simpleminded prejudices are already well-known and understood around here, so much so as to be a joke in themselves. The irony being you have no idea how many people laugh at you.

        • Super Bunny!

i am sorry for what i said, ok?
i can see you are very sensitive at this!
i come to this site to make fun, to be a dobe, not to be a serious justice messenger.
you wanna laugh at me? just do it!
i do not care at all, hahahahahaha!

          • Bman

            It’s not a haha laugh…it’s a wtf is she thinking laugh…

          • Super Bunny!

            she means me or sophia?
sorry i do not get it!
i got several thousand from stock in one day, so i am too happy to be mad at what she said.

          • Super Bunny!

            who you are?
why you always write to me?
            you wanna be my bf?

          • Gerhana

maybe she be bf but her asking you to be the bf of you?

          • Bman

            1. I’m your father, Luke. Join me or the Emperors gonna make me do stuff.
            2. Because you say such ridiculously immature and selfish things. Like bragging about making money in stocks.
            3. I’d rather date a frog. Or a super frog.
Anyway, I’m just joking with you. But really, do try to be nicer and less…mmm…narcissistic. That’d be cool.

          • Super Bunny!

            why you are so rude?
you are an old man, o!
why you think i am bragging? do you know chinese stocks? nowadays the interest is so low in bank, property is going down and down, gold also down, so people all buy stocks, a lot of people make good money, heng!
            ugly old toad!

          • Bman

Is that an insult? The world is filled with and controlled by old men. So what is the insult about? To have lived a long time or just to be a man? Do you hate your father also or just some men? Maybe you are a lesbian, and that’s ok, no need to hate men too. Just accept who you are. I hope someday you are ok.

You were bragging about your stocks as if to make yourself look rich and cool I guess. Modest people impress me more. Rich people who brag are people I love to insult. Get a job and help improve the world, not just gamble stocks from companies that other people built.
Property prices are increasing, not decreasing. In China, anyway.
When gold is low its a perfect time to buy. Especially when the world’s flow of money is unprecedentedly high. Countries are printing money like its just paper. So, yah, buying gold is actually a good idea.
Anyway, you’re welcome for the advice, have a great day :)

          • Super Bunny!

you are that luke the duck.
            now i c.

          • Bman

Luke Skywalker of Star Wars was my reference.
He is not a duck. I am not a duck too, to be clear.
Don’t forget to phrase your answers in the form of a question.
            Zero points for you.

          • Zappa Frank

don’t reply her, she is eattot… she is not rich, on the opposite… and she is likely insane… don’t lose your time

          • Bman

Oh dam, now I feel bad. She just sooooo deserves to be picked on :)

          • Super Bunny!

i ever said i am rich?
i am just as a kid, wanna share my happiness.
i am planning to buy an apt in the centre of my country, and all the money is made by myself.
go fk yourself. talk as if you are rich or whatever.

          • Zappa Frank

you are mentally disturbed, use your money (or whatever) for your treatment

          • Foreign Devil

One day it is stocks, the next Chinese lottery. . . You won’t find a good man to marry because they all know you would waste away their money on gambling.

          • Super Bunny!

            what?
            you wanna marry me?

          • KamikaziPilot

He’s an old Chinese man who is horny and perverted and wants to date you.

          • Vance

You guys know that girl controls these threads don’t you? The 2 longest threads today both have her posting and then you guys responding.

          • KamikaziPilot

Yeah I realize that, but her posts are hard to resist. I can’t help but call her out for her stupidity, narcissism, ignorance, racism, insecurity, self-hatred and whatever other negative traits she has.

        • BlueSonicStreak

Any given reason why your above comment wasn’t similarly rude? Not to mention completely pointless.

And you’d think anyone trans in particular would think twice before passing judgement on anyone’s looks, of any gender.

          • KamikaziPilot

I don’t see how Sophia’s comment is rude. And if you knew about Super Bunny’s post history you’d know that what Sophia said is very true.

          • BlueSonicStreak

It was a very politely-worded way of saying the model in the photo is ugly. Maybe she is not here to see it, but I’d consider that pointlessly rude. That comment is internationally public. It struck me as an unpleasant comment BEFORE I scrolled down and saw further replies.

It’s true, I don’t know Super Bunny’s history. But in this case, I don’t personally care. They look off the wall at a glance, so I ignored the rest of that user’s comments.

In general, I dislike comments about people’s appearance – at least facial features. There is little most people can do to help them. If there is one thing Super Bunny’s comment did, it was point out the irony of Sophia saying a damn thing.

          • So let’s deconstruct this, it’ll be fun. (Even though this whole response, in hindsight, is much more stream of consciousness, unstructured, and rambling than I’d like.) First of all, beauty is, poetic interpretations aside, an aesthetic claim. Now it’s become fashionable for feminists and corporations selling soap to say that ‘all women are beautiful’ and whatever nonsense. If all women are beautiful, then beauty isn’t a distinction and has no meaning.

I myself have never in my life claimed to be beautiful. For one I think it’s tacky to do even if it had a chance of being true, but that’s abstract, concretely, I know I’m average at best. People lie about it a lot, to themselves, to each other, trying to use it as some sort of emotional currency. It’s all nonsense. If somebody is beautiful, aesthetically, the world is going to notice and discuss it. There will be disagreement. There will be ulterior motives, but the volume of exchange will prove the point, one way or the other. Does it even matter? A little.

Look, I understand that the focus on women’s aesthetics is overblown and obsessive in this society. Even when talking about women’s substantive abilities and talents, like when somebody is introducing a woman who is going to give a speech or receive an award or something, people (not just men, it’s pervasive) will often append an aesthetic pseudo-honorific on the woman like ‘the lovely’ or the ‘the beautiful’ right before she launches into a discussion of the next quarter’s marketing strategy or what she’s discovered in her research on meta-material alloys. And it creates pressure. You say I should know better because I’m trans. Ha, you don’t know the half, guy. Last month I took a day off of work because the texture of my skin looked so bad after a laser treatment that I couldn’t leave the house.

The article was trying to create a narrative, that the tickets/coupons for hugs given out by this teacher had value because she was beautiful. The implied corollary is that if she weren’t beautiful, this scheme wouldn’t work and the tickets wouldn’t have value. It’s directly and inextricably relevant. It was my opinion that the woman in the picture was plain (which in your mind means ugly, I think that says more about you than me), and as such wouldn’t be *as motivating* to the students as the premise of the narrative of the article establishes (based on a common understanding of human nature, no less). (Not to mention, nobody has raised, in the article or the comments, the fact that even if she were so gorgeous that the moon would hide in shame, this presumably wouldn’t do anything for all the straight chicks in the class.)

Feminine beauty has been a subject for controversy and obsession for much of recorded history. I suppose abstractly your sensitivity about the subject is commendable, but your proxy experiences (such as with your food court colleague, yes, I read some of your past posts elsewhere) are not quite equal to somebody who’s living it first-hand. Rather than saying that being trans I should know better, maybe you should consider that I already do, and it is your perspective that is incomplete.

          • Super Bunny!

i can see you really like to blahblah a lot.
you write so much i do not understand anything at all.
i do not have that kinda personality.
i like simple and direct when speak.
maybe you do have a pussy charactor, that’s why you did so. i am more like a guy.

          • bujiebuke

“i can see you really like to blahblah a lot.you write so much i do not understand anything at all.

LMFAO! I just snorted out coke from laughing so hard. Everything you say is gold, everything…

          • Dolph Grunt

Exactly! I don’t know why people are getting so serious about this. Super Bunny is the truest definition of entertainment ever.

          • Which is why I was writing to BlueSonicStreak, not you. Believe me, I wouldn’t go much beyond a paragraph with you, honey.

          • Bman

            Paragraph? You flatter her.
I translated it down to just two words.

          • KamikaziPilot

And you always like to write about yourself endlessly like the insecure, self-hating narcissist you are. I know you must hate yourself, hence you always try to bring others down. If I didn’t know any better I’d say you’re a country bumpkin whose only knowledge about people and cultures different from your own come from TV. Ex. you dislike black and Japanese people but I doubt you’ve ever met one. You’re a sad, pathetic, insecure excuse for a human being and I’d hate to be you.

          • Bman

Lol, Yes, you are like one of those guys who thinks stupid is Ok because thinking just wastes time anyways. I already knew that.
I’ll summarize what Sophia said for you then.
            He’s wrong.
            Hao ba?

          • Edward Kay

            说的好。

          • BlueSonicStreak

That was a lengthy essay to justify a pointlessly rude comment. Wow. And consider that you know very little about what anyone has and has not experienced first-hand when you’re reading a single social media account on the Internet. I am not fooled by your sophistry on this when I’ve seen your other “dayuuum,” and “giggity,” comments. (Yes, I read you, too.)

It was a tacky thing to say, okay?

          • Oh, so the fact that I am attracted to people stigmatizes me? That I have a sexuality and I don’t hide it? What, if I’m not attracted solely to men (I’m pan by the way, I have relationships with women and men, and that plural is not a casual abstraction), I’m not legitimate? Who are you, the heteronormative ghost of Harry fucking Benjamin?

And my essay did justify it, which is now why you’re trying to attack me and not my points. And you’re a hypocrite, since you decry that I can only know “very little” from A THOUSAND POSTS, but you act like you can know me from the same method.

            Your cognitive dissonance staggers me.

          • BlueSonicStreak

I have zero interest in what your sexuality is, Sophia. My comment is on the fact that I am not fooled by song and dance when I can see you go from Women’s Studies major to leering truck driver at the drop of a hat. So don’t lecture me. I took Women’s Studies too, and I’m not impressed.

You have not convinced me of the necessity of your original comment. But then, people rarely give me a good reason for that sort of thing. They just couldn’t keep it to themselves, and they hate being called on it.

          • While I won’t pretend I don’t study gender and sexuality, I do, and I’m a volunteer for several organizations related to gender equality (no, really), but what you’re ignoring in both my original post and in general is that I speak from experience. You can study womanhood and unquestioningly sop up all the theory you like, every day I go out there and live it. I’ve been catcalled (which, I hasten to add, I didn’t mind, no hypocrisy here), sexually molested (which I did mind, a lot), and have had to reach for standards in gender performance that most other women can safely discard.

Women’s studies isn’t a monolith. There is not a single perspective of womanhood, of women’s experience, and no single consensus of what reactions should follow from it. The chasm between prominent women on the subject of gender and sexuality is often unbridgeable. There will never be a meeting of minds between Andrea Dworkin and Wendy McElroy, or between Sheila Jeffreys and Catherine McKinnon, or Dr. Christina Hoff Sommers and practically anybody.

My behavior and my attitudes are consistent and ethical, and if you want to make substantive claims instead of vague slurs, I’ll answer them. (By the way, and this is a serious question, can you honestly say that if a cisgender lesbian said ‘dayum’ about another woman, you would call her out on it? Call her a ‘leering truck driver’ or is this something you only do because I’m trans?) Otherwise you and your epithets are not finding the moral high ground you imagine.

          • BlueSonicStreak

And heeeere is the standard playbook. Describing objectifying, masculinized behaviour as such is transphobic. Of course it is. Hint, cis women of ANY sexuality don’t tend to say “dayuuum”; and when they do, they know they are deliberately aping men. This may come as a shock to you, but nothing about your gender excuses you from criticism. I mentioned those things because they were comments I would find distasteful regardless of who they came from.

And then there’s the overshare (hey, you’re not the only one to be assaulted, what is the relevance), and you’re still obviously pretty sure you know what I do and do not have first-hand experience of.

Stuff it. I’m not really interested in arguing any further over whether critiquing a woman’s face for no apparent reason is rude or not, nor am I interested in further playing the game where you try to box me into the position of oppressor so you can play victim. Bye.

          • “Describing objectifying, masculinized behavior as such is transphobic.”

            Except that it is http://www.slate.com/blogs/outward/2015/05/18/when_transgender_women_are_assertive_it_s_not_about_male_energy.html

You are literally laying out the double standard, and saying it’s ok for women to do it because it’s clear they’re women copying men, so that’s not bad. Why? Magic! Come the fuck on.

Implicit in this is that a) trans women aren’t “real” women, they can’t “ape” men because they are men >transphobictransphobic< (particularly ironic because although I'm open about to whom I'm attracted, I don't operate in any relationship in a dominant paradigm anyway, the women I date all dominate me)

You've admitted a double standard, and you think you can just silence me, indeed this whole thing has been about silencing me, and obviously that hasn't and won't work. So go ahead and run along.

          • Vance

I’ve never taken women’s studies, but I do study women. I’m currently looking for fresh specimens for more field work.

          • KamikaziPilot

At first I thought you were referring to Sophia’s comment to Super Bunny about how tasteless Super Bunny’s comment was, but it seems like you’re referring to the original comment for this post about the teacher’s looks being rather plain. Even in that case I don’t find the original comment rude. Rather plain does not equal ugly and Sophia wasn’t ridiculing the teacher’s appearance. Bunny’s comment expressed ridicule at someone’s appearance with her “hahaha”. If the story mentions a person’s physical appearance, I feel that commenting on it is fair game. Just as if the story mentions race or religion, it’s fair game to comment on those topics.

          • Bman

And Super Bunny’s finally got a worthy husband!
After she’s kinda already asked every person on this website if they want to marry her. Just imagine a lifetime of defending her brilliant comments :D

          • 百年好合!

          • Super Bunny!

i can see your chinese is good.
            haha!

          • Super Bunny!

            ????
i ask him to let him shut up!
coz it’s totally none his business.
i do not look for anyone here.
i am married, also i do not even wanna think about white cheap mfker.
snob as dog, cheap as fk.as if they are from slum.

          • bujiebuke

i am married, also i do not even wanna think about white cheap mfker.

snob as dog, cheap as fk.as if they are from slum.

You’ve just shattered many hearts tonight.

          • Super Bunny!

            including you?
            hahahahaha!

          • bujiebuke

hah, everybody wants to tease 老八戒 :'(

          • Super Bunny!

            hahaha, you are chinese-american?

          • bujiebuke

老叫花 would be a more accurate description

          • Bman

And the flirting continues… Jia you!

          • Bman

You post it and it becomes our business.
Stop asking us to marry then.
If you don’t think about white people, your choice of eebsite to frequent

          • Super Bunny!

            what?
you think i post here to look for an online husband?
            funny!
            you are black? or ?

          • Bman

I am African, just like you are.
I think youre so desperate to be loved you look everywhere.

          • KamikaziPilot

Yup she’s desperate as evidenced by her posting pictures of herself on more than one occasion. I’m not sure if she’s married or not as she can’t seem to keep her lies straight. You seem to have the same impression of her as I do but I don’t think she’s white pretending to be Chinese. She’s a Chinese girl alright. I’m pretty sure I’ve met her type in real life, though in real life they’re more subtle about their disgusting qualities since they’re so self conscious. Online is where the floodgates of their vile personality burst open for all to see. I’d feel sorry for her but that would imply that I care for her, which I don’t.

          • Bman

Yes, her comments got to me right from the start too. Back home she’d merely be a troll, but here i guess this is her true personality. And that intrigues me to know more about that kind of person, and push her buttons like she so carelessly scoffs at others.

          • KamikaziPilot

The very best thing would be for everyone to ignore her entirely but that’s unlikely. The second best would be for people like us to call her out every time she makes one of her idiotic posts. She judges people by WHAT they are (ex. skin color, nationality), not WHO they are, if you know what I mean. It bothers her when people call her out in front of others, since I know there are CS posters that she actually wants to impress (ex. posting pics of herself). But people like me, she hates because of what I am, not anything I ever said to her. Hence I’ll keep exposing her insecurities every chance I get.

          • Super Bunny!

            go fk yourself!

          • KamikaziPilot

Why? Because I expose who you really are for all to see. You may fool some people but you don’t fool me at all. I know your type. If you ever meet me in real life, and you say the stuff you say online with your attitude, I’d chew you up and spit you out. You should pray you don’t run into someone like me in real life, I’m your worst nightmare you ignorant little girl. Oh, and as long as you keep posting idiotic nonsense, I’ll keep telling everyone what a lowlife, insecure, self-hating loser you really are. Keep it up, I’ll be right here.

          • Dolph Grunt

Love her or hate her, there’s one thing for certain; With the quality of stories on the site these days, she’s the only thing keeping these threads alive.

          • Super Bunny!

            what?
you do not look like african? maybe you from south african? or you are mixed?
i think you wanna stay in china, so you look for chinese women to marry desperatly!

          • Bman

sigh…all humans are from Africa. Interbred with some alien dna along the way. Common knowledge.

Unlike the people you know, most people aren’t desperate to marry, or even care. But how would you know that…
Your general knowledge is too low for you to even understand my jokes, and I tire of teaching you for free.

But hey, sorry if I picked on you too much. I guess you’re used to guys liking you just cause you got booty. In truth, many men won’t care at all. They will judge you by your personality, as I do.
Now you stop picking on people and we’ll all be good.

          • Super Bunny!

if you do not write to me, i will feel much better.
            plz stop!~

          • Bman

Im not writing to you. I’m commenting about you.
            Just saying… ;~)

          • Super Bunny!

            silly!
            how old r u?
            what u do in guangzhou?

          • Dolph Grunt

It doesn’t matter if a cat is black or white, so long as it catches mice.

      • vincent

It’s been ages since I’ve posted here, you still haven’t changed at all eattot @disqus_4Jah1yg9eh:disqus how you doing friend?

        • Gerhana

im doing good thanks how about you? where did you disappear to? I decided to come back more frequently now since eattot is back

          • vincent

I was in China for 4 months and just got back to Dubai, I would have to say I’m back for the same reason. It would seem CS doesn’t have quality posts like it once used to but it’s fun seeing eattot’s exploits.

    • donscarletti

It’s a stock photo. Check the Netease article; I think she’s the one in the centre with the ankle length blue skirt.

I withhold judgement on her beauty based on lack of resolution. I believe it requires at least half a megapixel to fully express a woman’s beauty (17x the total data contained in Shakespeare sonnets, so don’t accuse me of being unromantic).

She does obviously care about her appearance and dresses to be noticed. She is definitely the sort of woman who could be complimented loudly from a construction site and would take it positively.

      • Heh, indeed. :P Agreed across the board. The low res makes it hard to be certain but she definitely looks above average.

I see your point. I think she’s attractive, but I’ve heard Chinese people say that Zhang Ziyi is plain looking. So I think maybe the kind of guys who are attracted to Asian girls have strange preferences when it comes to this.

She’ll be sorry about giving out those coupons after the first ass-grab happens.

    • Dolph Grunt

I think that requires a different coupon.

  • Dolph Grunt

    Sheesh! What next?

    Oh, wait. Don’t answer that!

    • Bman

You’ll look…you can’t resist…The things that happen are just so illogically dumbfuckingly interesting!

    • I think I’ve watched enough hentai to know where this is going… giggity.

“every student received a gift from teacher Xiong Anya – a lollipop and a bilingual hand-drawn card.”

Maybe, in a future class, the students will be able to give her their own “lollipop”… giggity!

Don’t scorn me! You made me go there!

        • Bman

          Nobody made you go there.
You were simply offered a ‘coupon’ to allow you to get near there.
What you did with your lollipop when you were near there was completely of your own free will. Miss Xiong Anya takes none of the blame and denies enticement. Of dozens of impressionable little kids…
          wtf…

well I think its not really about the looks, its the attempt to bridge the gap, to cross that invisible line between teacher and students. Especially in Asian country where such things should not happen. I have to say its kinda revolutionary. In Western country its normal for students to speak out, argue and discuss, its part of the learning process, but if you go to the school in Asia, its a different learning culture. I suppose it could be said that she is trying to “westernise” the learning environment there…. to change the way students learn and the way they interact with teachers.

    • Bman

      True I guess.
I wonder if an ugly man gave out those “let’s touch each other sometime when we are both ready and in the mood possibly alone by the fireplace curled up with a bottle of merlot” coupons, if people would think differently?

I know I exaggerated there, people don’t usually have fireplaces in China. But in my defense, that hug coupon was super creepy. I mean, she didn’t just hug the kids, like normal people would. She wanted to hug some time in the future. Kinda like a date…

Umm I assume the beautiful teacher to be the one on the right…..
