Xi Jinping Invites Japan’s Abe To WWII Commemoration Day


Assistant minister of China’s Foreign Office Cheng Guoping recently divulged that Chairman Xi Jinping had invited Japan’s prime minister Shinzō Abe to China’s World War II commemoration day in September, which marks 70 years since their victory over the Japanese occupation. Cheng made the revelation whilst answering reporters questions at the recent BRICS/SCO summit, which discusses political and economic policies between its member countries. The news follows rumors in Japanese media that Abe would possibly attend the event. Netizens thought the move was awesome.
