Young man who asked for internet help repays his debts

Some words once said can’t be taken back. In 2012 one college student posted on the internet asking people to donate money in order to save his ailing father. In his plea he promised he would pay them back as soon as he could make the money himself. Even though he was ultimately unsuccessful in saving his father 3 years later he has been slowly repaying his donors, just as promised. Netizens think that his actions are extremely commendable and rare so they have been responding to this latest update to his situation with huge praise.

Does any one remember that young girl who was set on fire by the guy she rejected who was the son of govt oficials?

“A 20-year-old woman has received 1.72 million yuan in compensation after being set on fire and severely disfigured by a classmate, who’d attacked her after she rejected his romantic advances.
Zhou Yan studied at the same school as Tao Rukun in the Anhui capital of Hefei when the tragedy occurred four years ago. Zhou had refused the then 17-year-old’s attempts to court her on several occasions, and her parents even arranged for her to transfer to another school to avoid him.
Tao responded by going to the teen’s home, pouring kerosene on her and setting her aflame. The victim suffered second- and third-degree burns covering more than 30 percent of her body, and her face has been left disfigured after the assault.
Tao was jailed for 12 years. His parents, both government officials in Hefei, have now been ordered to pay Zhou 1.72 million yuan in compensation, SCMP said.
According to reports, Tao’s mother and father had initially refused to pay for the victim’s medical fees unless her family agreed to sign a document calling for their son’s release.”

He’s going to be free in a little more than a decade as a wealthy man in his thirties, she’s going to remain disfigured for the rest of her days and have a shitty sentimental and social life. Small comfort indeed.

      Link doesn’t work though.
