Chinese Man Identified In Taliban’s Latest Hostage Video

One Taliban branch in Pakistan has released a hostage video to the Associated Press. Among the hostages is a suspected Chinese tourist by the name of Mr. Hong, kidnapped in the Northwest part of Pakistan about a year ago while riding his bike. Mr. Hong is shown asking for rescue, but doesn’t give any specific demands. One of his friends has indicated that the man in the video does look very similar to Mr. Hong, but more information is still needed to fully confirm. Netizens lay the blame on Mr. Hong and want to know why he went there if he knew the area was dangerous.
