“This child is named Danny, and he’s in the first grade this year. Because of a speech impairment resulting from a brain hemorrhage not long after he was born and him often wearing a suit and tie, he has become a target of bullying and ridicule by some classmates.”

“Several fifth grade older schoolmates learned of this and then organized 45 people to dress like Danny, to protect and support him.”

“While being interviewed, one older schoolmate said: ‘We saw that there were people bullying our younger schoolmate and we won’t stand for it. We all love our younger schoolmate, so we should stand forward to protect him.’ As he said this, he became emotional and shed tears.”

“Danny’s parents also say that Danny cried for a long long time that night before bed. Concerned, his mother had also asked him what was wrong, and he said he felt really blessed/happy to be so taken care of and loved.”

I’m reminded of when I was small, when once I went out to play with my deaf little brother and then heard two brats behind us laughing at him wearing his hearing aid. I immediately became furious, had my little brother first go home, and then dragged those two kids to a corner of the school where I beat them up. Although I was an older student bullying younger students, it was still satisfying.
