The over 50-year-old Old Guo is this car’s maker. The first time the idea of making the car sprouted into his mind was while taking his grandson to school. The child is restless and when sitting on the back of an electric moped, it would be easy for him to fall off. Old Guo thus began refining his idea of building an electric car, to carry the child to school. So, Old Guo consulted images on the internet, and after a long half year and over 5000 yuan fabricated this car. Photo is of Old Gu taking his grandson out for a spin.

This car’s shape is that of a “Lamborghini” sports car. In addition to a rear-view mirror, it has all the accessories, as well as a stereo installed. Of the three push buttons on the steering wheel, the two on the left and right control the horn, while the center button can be pushed to engage reverse. According to Old Guo, this car has 5 internal batteries, and can travel a relaxed 60 kilometers. Photo is of the hand-made Lamborghini, approximately 2 meters long and 1 meter wide.

When Local traffic police were interviewed, they said this car can be driven as a toy at low speeds within the neighborhood or park, but because there is no relevant technical parameter support and did not go through safety inspection qualifications procedures as regulated by the country, it is absolutely not allowed to go on public roads in accordance with traffic regulations. To keep with the characteristics of a sports car, the car uses scissor doors design, a wing is installed on the rear end, and the car body is made from stainless steel, the car’s body completely shaped with tools.

Fuck, where is this old man from? Cheating/scamming even his own grandson?? [This netizen is continuing the NetEase pastime of making fun of people from Henan province, where Zhengzhou is located.]

I’m sorry, grandson, I’ve cheated/scammed you.

There’s an even more ruthless old man, who installed a wind-powered electricity generator at the front of a car, the blunder becoming even known abroad.

I bet the traffic police are currently setting up checkpoints at various intersections…
Just like that one guy in Sichuan who modified an Alto into a sports car, only to be fined after posting about it on the internet, forbidden from driving it on the road.

Education these days puts too much emphasis on books without any emphasis on practice. This is a mistake.

Only when practice and education are both equally emphasized can we raise talented people with creativity.

Really admire the elderly person’s thinking and skill. The popularization of electric cars may not be far in the future.

Something that others have been doing for over a hundred years, and you go and make such a low level imitation. And it is reported throughout the nation’s media. Just whose problem is this?

He’s just an ordinary common person [regular guy], and it is not as if he’s doing it to produce a real car. Frankly, the old man simply made a toy to amuse his grandson. Such a positive and loving thing, why do you look at it from such a dark and negative perspective?

    One word; Twat.

I think it is cool, my granddad used to make stuff like this for me when I was young (although not quite as cool).

    • Boris_Da_Bengal_Tiger

Agree. He made a toy for his grandson. How many people have been doing this in the past? Instead of going out and buying something and making something with their children or grandchildren, like a tree house, or a wagon, etc.

    • tomoe723

this is what elders should be doing.. inspiring children with actions like these.. my grandma did a similar thing.. but not cars and robots, more on books and literature, writing, reading..

some elders just complain, bicker, scold, grumpy.. >.<

  • mr.wiener

That is one cool grand dad.

  • ESL Ninja

Rumour has it that the kid ran over a 2nd grader yesterday with a hooker in the passenger seat. Despite the scene being witnessed by the class monitors, no charges were brought forward.

  • comradewang

This is awesome. I would drive around the block 10 times and make sure all the neighborhood kids sees me. Props to the Grandpa.

    • Kai

      Needs spinners.

      • Mighty曹

… with undercar neon lights and thumping subs.

        • Kai

I’ll admit I was always fond of the undercar neon lights. Spinners, not so much. The appreciation for the neon lights (nowadays I think they’re using LEDs?) is probably because of Tron. Chrome spinners just seemed tacky to me. I’m not an audiophile so I don’t care for ICE like subs.

          • Mighty曹

Every time I see cars with spinners I still laugh. I think It’s just comical. Also, it’s a demographic accessory as I’ve only seen them on vehicles operated by our Afro brethren.

  • ScottLoar

I like it. His grandson must be proud.

  • 5000 years of history

The Chinese culture on what constitutes as old slays me. Old man at 50. The way Chinese look down on people because of age is something I could never get my arms around. ” you do realize that person you are making fun of for being old could be you in a short time But it’s the truth!!

    • Germandude

Hold on. Respect for elders is a part of Chinese culture. At least that’s what is said.

I really love this comment. Impressed by how an old man’s caring for his grandson leads to unique accomplishment despite his age

  • lonetrey / Dan

This is a pretty cool piece of work!

  • Stefan Xu

The kid will eventually grow up and buy the real one. :)

    • Boris_Da_Bengal_Tiger

      One can always dream.

    • linette lee

Or maybe this kid is inspired by his old man and grow up to become automotive engineering. And maybe he will be the first person ever to build an all electric vehicle that you can just charge it at home once a week without the need for gasoline. Then he can credit his old man for building him an electric car when he was a child. His own electric Lamborghini from his grandpa. What a lovely story. They can make that into a movie.

      • carmouflagger

“maybe he will be the first person ever to build an all electric vehicle that you can just charge it at home” uh that’s been done already, BMW, Tesla, Nissan, Ford etc.

        • Mighty曹

The Tesla Model-S, at $80,000 is becoming so high in demand that they’re going to double the production output this year.

  • Marcus Black

That grandson is going to get all the Chinese bitches… I mean gold diggers….. I mean women. *clears throat* Pussy wagon right there.

    • ScottLoar

I doubt you get much attention from the opposite sex.

      • Marcus Black

Unless you are a male model (homo) on some magazine, you will not get much attention from the opposite sex. However I get good response when I pursue them like I should. I am a gentlemen to women who deserve it. However women who are in it for the money are no different from prostitutes. Now am not saying prostitutes are bad. In fact I actually respect them more because at least they are honest and do not waste your time and money. You pretty much cut to the chase and get what you pay for.

        • ScottLoar

The Wisdom of Marcus Black on Chinese Women:

“However I get good response when I pursue them like I should. I am a gentlemen (sic) to women who deserve it.”

“What actually matters is how you carry and conduct yourself”.

And without any seeming contradiction –

“all the Chinese bitches… gold diggers…”

I think most women can sense whether a man is a gentleman or one who casually calls women bitches.

          • Marcus Black

Only simps treat all women with utmost respect even when they do not deserve it. And that’s why feminism is so rampant in America.

          • ScottLoar

Marcus, you just don’t get it, do ‘ya? And the more you go on the deeper you get, not knowing when to stop. Failing at being anything but a cad to women you’re now trying to give advice on manliness.

  • Gordon Gogodancer

    fuckin’ brilliant

  • linette lee

China has inventors, but their talents and creativity are not being used or appreciated

    • Marcus Black

Creativity doesn’t constitute copying a car that was designed in Europe. That’s blatant copy. Now if he made his own design, that would be creative. It’s also not inventive because as stated earlier, its not original. He didn’t invent anything. Not saying this is bad, it just isn’t creative. Cool nonetheless.

  • ScottLoar

And you have much experience of Chinese women who are attracted to men who call them Chinese bitches, gold diggers, and pussy? Yeah?

    • Marcus Black

Some women deserve it. Others don’t. You never respect a women less or more than she respects herself.

  • Kai

Except for the scissor doors, I think it looks a bit more like a Ferrari than a Lamborghini to me. Okay, minus the harder edges/creases of the bodywork more typical of a Lambo, that profile looks more like a Ferrari.

    • Germandude

It doesn’t really matter, does it? I think the guy made an awesome job and hopefully his grandson knows to value it.

      • Kai

No, of course not, I was just making a car-nut comment.

  • YourSupremeCommander

“Chinese Man Builds Homemade Electric Lamborghini for Grandson”

Then the grandson’s dad asked his dad to build him a bigger one.

  • Mighty曹

This is one of the more impressive homemade projects. He should start manufacturing them to sell as ‘toys’. I’ll buy one.

    • YourSupremeCommander

Cool, before you take it home, send it my way for some North Koast Kustoms luving. What you like, 30″ rims? Matte gold wrap? 60″ LCD TV? Pink leather seats?

      • Mighty曹

No other way. Gotta get it pimped out.
(Don’t forget the fuzzy dice hanging from the rear view mirror)

  • Marcus Black

I find in China, women don’t tend to care much about that. What actually matters is how you carry and conduct yourself. My girlfriend never said a damn things about me being black. In fact I forget I am of African origin when we hung out. And no she isn’t ugly or trashy.

  • North-eastern

Great job done, grandpa. There is a lesson for his grandson too. Not many people in China you do see who can actually build something, even though the idea was taken from the Lamborghini, but yet he put that into practical use.

  • JayC411

Where is the boy at? All I see is this old guy steal all the fun!?
