14 Differences Between Japanese Women & Chinese Women

Women: China vs. Japan.

This is not new but has recently spread on the Chinese internet again.

On China.com and cn.MSN.com:

Japanese women vs. Chinese women: A little mean, but makes some good points!

1.

Japanese women often teach their children to bravely fight the forces of evil, and even if they lose, it is still infinitely glorious, the highest honor.

Chinese women often teach their children that when they encounter the forces of evil they must be good at hiding/running away/avoiding. They say that God will punish them [the forces of evil].

2.

Japanese women believe Japan is the world’s greatest country.

Chinese women usually believe that the moon may be rounder abroad ["the grass is greener"].

3.

Japanese women usually believe marrying foreigners is a kind of disgrace.

Chinese women usually feel that marrying foreigners is a kind of infinite glory.

4.

Japanese women are normally lady-like, but dirty in bed.

Many Chinese women are lady-like in bed, but dirty out of bed.

5.

Most Japanese women abide by the rules of a woman, supporting her husband, raising her children, dutifully.

China is the world’s number one country for one-night stands and extramarital affairs.

6.

Japanese women are almost all very filial, seeing their mother-in-law as their own mother.

Most Chinese women are all too eager for their mother-in-law to quickly die.

7.

Japanese wives treat their husbands with encouragement and concern. Returning home late at night exhausted at the end of a day, the wife will say “you’ve had a tough day.”

Chinese wives treat their husbands with complaints and scolding. Returning home late at night exhausted at the end of a day, the wife will roar “where the hell did you go this time?”

8.

Most young Japanese girls will find a man who is around their age to marry, and make a life with him together.

Young Chinese girls always find a wealthy “old” man, and don’t mind even being his Nth mistress/wife.

9.

Japanese mothers teach their daughters to look after their husbands, and diligently be filial to her parents-in-law.

Chinese mothers teach their daughters that they must keep firm control of all the man’s assets.

10.

Japanese women can tolerate men without money [poor men], but definitely cannot tolerate cowardly and weak men.

Chinese women can tolerate cowardly and weak men, but definitely cannot tolerate men without money.

11.

Japanese women see manly men as the most charming men.

Chinese women see manly men as male chauvinists.

12.

Most Japanese women are very lenient towards men’s infidelity.

Most Chinese women are very lenient towards their own infidelity.

13.

Japanese women almost never say bad things about Japanese men in public or in the media.

Chinese women always loudly curse and mock Chinese men on various media.

14.

The first words of Japanese women on their wedding night is: “If I do not look after/service you well tonight, please be forgiving.”

The first words of Chinese women on their wedding night is: “Hurry and see how much money was received today.”

Comments from cn.MSN.com:

MR.lau:

Different countries have different cultures.

njmct:

There are good things and bad things. Chinese people just have more bad things.

Eugenie:

Japan has more virgins…

喜获:

Japan has AV [adult video] women, China does not, this is the root.

ohyeah0715:

Haha…I see it as just a joke = = Some definitely make some sense…though if women saw this they probably would be very unhappy…Some of it is different circumstances, some things result from different traditions and culture…society is the key, and actually women are innocent…

SIMPLE-KATE:

Many of them are not accurate, just ask those who have experience studying abroad in Japan, not a single one wants to marry Japanese women.

EllaZhang2010:

Seeing this makes me feel the lou zhu is Japanese. With the conditions being different in the two countries, there is nothing that is comparable. Using this post to put down a country is a bit too comical.

梨涡浅浅:

I bet the lou zhu was born in Japan. If not, then he must be sent by Japanese to stir up trouble with China.

安柒佑:

Just as the LZ said, what cannot be denied is that it does reflect some characteristics of Chinese female’s.
But Chinese people have always been an arrogant people, unwilling to listen to our own bad side,
nor willing to search for the problems on ourselves, but instead will search for the shortcomings of the other party and fight back…
LZ‘s post can be very controversial, can be very explosive!

牛百万:

I think the “Chinese” and “Japanese” in the post should all be changed to “some”.

Taking a part as the whole will only hurt the majority of innocent people.

I trust that the two types of women in the post both appear in every country.

Everyone knows that China is a “large denominator” country, so, I am willing to say, China has more good women than any country in the world; At the same time, China’s also has the most bad women in the world. We must face ourselves.

This post is obviously being too extreme~

cqc4500:

May I ask those who approve of these sayings, have you guys ever met/known/interacted with Japanese women before?

梦落百花殺:

[I] only know that Japanese women are niubi in bed, the rest [I] don’t really know~~

A friend found a Japanese girlfriend, and he said that in less than 3 days, she had already said “I love you” and established their relationship. Then pretty much every night thereafter, the girl has “special requests”, truly has a big appetite…

Comments from China.com:

antisb:

Japanese AV female stars know to raise donations for Chinese earthquakes. Whereas China’s movie queen knows to exploit the earthquake to collect donations for herself and her own fame!
Japanese prostitutes don’t hide what they are, whereas China’s whores insist on their own dignity!

圣人不仁:

It basically speaks the truth, and speaking of just Southeast Asia, Chinese women are all ranked from the bottom.

再平广岛:

As someone who really hates Japanese people, in comparison, I too believe this is basically in accordance with teh truth. *Sweating wildly…

再平广岛:

Although, there’s something I forgot to say. With Japanese women being this good, this only increases my motivation to exterminate Japanese men.

天才笨笨猪:

Comrades must work hard, so we may seize/occupy Japan in the future, kill all Japanese men, and steal all the Japanese women.

杀回人生:

Had I known sooner I wouldn’t have gotten married!! ~Too late now!!~

最后红卫兵:

Do you guys know that those who make AV in Japan these days are basically Chinese women? I haven’t watched AV in a long time, so the ones you guys are watching are probably older ones…
And what more, they always have the Chinese perform the most obscene/dirty kind…

modi12:

While it is true that Chinese women have relatively more shortcomings, Japanese women are far from perfect. Take for example them waiting for you at the door when you return home, helping hold your bag/briefcase and saying you’ve had a tough day. This is just Japan’s basic etiquette, there’s no real meaning/sincerity. After marriage, Japanese women often just stay at home and no longer work, not independent like Chinese women, and what more, they believe that if they still have to go out and work after getting married, they will be looked down upon by others.

凤山道人:

Chinese women these days are seriously too dirty, too lousy, and too shameless!!!

小烦:

All a result of education/upbringing. China’s education/upbringing cannot even be called “failure”. Using “shameless” to describe would be more appropriate.
Actually, louzhu only criticizing Chinese women is very unfair. It is not as if Chinese men are any better.
In today’s Chinese society, the men are thieves, the women are whores, the old are hooligans, the young are bastards.

  1. Why the hate and trollin’? Seriously…

This article is nothing but racist… Everyone is different, and every family is different, thus you shouldn’t be so quick to stereotype people. You can’t judge a whole nation based on some characters. That’s like saying that all Germans were die-hard Nazis back in World War II.

This article clearly slams on Chinese Women. You display them all as immodest gold-digging whores, whereas you display Japanese Women as honourable and dignified. <– Seriously? Grow up, and learn to be accepting of people regardless of anything because there are whores, gold-diggers, humble, dignified, and honourable in every Nation, INCLUDING Japan.

Treat others what you want to be treated of you… Your article here says that you want people to be stereotypical, bias, and racist in their opinion of YOU. Furthermore, I don't mean to just treat others good to get something in return (selfish intentions), I mean learn to love others unconditionally because biologically we are the same.

Furthermore, "Japanese women vs. Chinese women: A little mean, but makes some good points!" <– You make points with no scientific evidences = you're just spilling bias hate.

And if this is some kind of "joke", it is sick and it is NOT a funny one.

P.S maybe you should spend sometime away from the whores, and be with nicer Chinese women with better morals.

    • Sigh…

I assume you are directing this towards the original poster of the article, not at chinasmack or Fauna for posting it, because I want to think high enough of you to agree with you.

Just making sure who you are accusing of what, since all this site does is take popular things on Chinese internet and post the English translated version.

It’s all this “You” that is making me think you are silly and don’t actually know what this site does. Maybe you meant to post it as “The original poster” instead of “You” to make clear who you are actually addressing?

    • sir you have a brilliant mind :)

    • definitely right. :)

    • THIS IS AWSOME REFLECTION BRAVO

  2. So… What made you so bitter and prejudice?

  3. WTF, I am japanese and chinese and have lived for a while in both countries even though I was born and currently live in the US my family is both chinese and japanese, I for one cannot agree with any of the bullshit stated above (and sounds like it was written by a japanese person) Unless the person is like me both chinese and japanese (which I highly doubt) they have no sence of both cultures and who ever wrote this should frankly never post highly opinionated bull shit.

  4. The real debate should be chinese men vs japanese men.
The women just shape after what the men want.
Japanese submissive women are a myth. They are just better at hiding things. No real woman wants to be a slave to their husband. Or any human being regardless of gender.

And who in their right mind wants to give up on their own parents to take care of their parents in law and become a slave to their spouse?
That’s what is wrong with asian culture.

  5. you can not judge an one by just what you read on the net

  6. do not generalized wat is not..
    too subjective!
i dont get the point of this :/
it is very obvious that this is a one-side argument.
showing too much bitterness 4 Chinese people.

  7. Well I don`t care about differences, I love them all…by the way, you asian guys should better try with some european lady…than you shall see what the difference means… Japanese ladys are great!

  8. Hmm.. I know lots of Chinese women and only a few Japanese, but these rules are completely the other way around for the people I have met. The Japanese were quite rude and not hygienic at all.

  9. C’mon people, stop taking this so seriously – it’s hysterical!!! This is obviously written by a comedian – I found it incredibly funny and I am neither Japanese or Chinese or Korean! I was trying to see if there are any ethnic differences between Chinese and Japanese and this is what I found! Ha ha ha….

  10. I’m a Chinese girl (not ‘woman’)… I believe most of this is true except I don’t think China has the world’s most one night stands, since I don’t actually live in China.
You also forgot to mention Chinese women often look for men taller than them- not so much that materialism…
It’s also just how we are, but it’s stereotyping. China is strange, because Cantonesse and Mandarin people are quite different in some ways.
Also, chinaSMACK are you Chinese? And when you wrote this, did you have any beforehand experience? Or do you just know?

The relationship between a man’s mother and wife is called ‘puo-shi’ or something like that, they are described to have the worst relationship because they both love the son/husband/man.

  11. After reading this, I’m wondering why the hell did I waste my time on such utter biased trolling bullshit. Whoever wrote this, you have my sympathies because you need help. Urgently.

    Good day.

  12. My last Chinese girlfriend was dirty in bed! As for the rest of it, from the Japanese and Chinese girls I have known (and I love them all) I think this is not too far from the truth. I have noticed, however, that Chinese women tend to support their husbands in public, but remain the boss at home!

  13. Money/material goods is definitely important in China. The 2 requirements a Chinese women asks a potential husband/suitor:
    1. Do you have house?
    2. Do you have a car?
The two point a Chinese guy boasts when trying to impress a girl:
    1. I own a house. (brought by my parents)
    2. I own a car.

  14. Its cause the Koreans and Japanese don’t give a hoot about their future and the sense of security for that future. Most of the homeless Asian women that are drug addicts/prostitutes/vagrants are Korean and Japanese.

A man can leave you for another woman. But, money cannot leave you for another woman. House is shelter and money is security…no, it is everything.

  15. Materialism vs. Actual Emotions

Unfortunately it seems that China has some issues with materialism…

  16. could this be because since South Korea is richer and more developed than China, people can afford to think less about money? It’s easy not to care about money when even the poor lead relatively decent lives

  17. I see you’re trolling

  18. 7/10. You’ll get a few responses, but your skills are not yet complete.

  19. I am intrigued. What video?

  20. I don’t watch Jap porn, I would if I was aroused by it but I’m not, I watch black woman porn and I don’t respect them either so I admit that I’d watch Jap women fucking if I wanted to but I just don’t want to.

Japs just look like ugly Koreans with big overbites, they’re the least erection-worthy women in East-Asia (presuming that Papua New-Guinea is considered part of Australasia, not Asia).

  21. Pusan you’re aware that Korean pop culture is just afro-american culture + Japanese pop culture, right?

  22. yeah, them koreans copy everything japan and call it their own. the koreans have major inferiority complex towards the japanese too.

small dogs bark the loudest, you know.

plus, japanese women are wayyyyyy hotter.

  23. Pusan Playa, you are as wrong as you are racist and offensive.

  24. I’m Chinese and have recently found Korean women to be REALLY hot… well, the ones at USC and around LA at least.

It’s true that the Koreans copy the Japanese, but with the Japanese outsourcing everything to Korea, what do you expect? They’ll copy the outsourcing, improve it, and then make it their own. It’s just life. Everyone copied China’s writing, laws, rockets, and gun powder back in the 1st-9th century, just because they were the most advanced. Again, it’s just how the world works.

  25. What a horrible racist you are!

  26. WARNING! 小心!!!

pornography is not allowed in the People’s Republic of China
    -state law

dont want to be ”harmonized“ again!

     为中国人民争气! That Chinese 小皇帝 Kid!

    y’all are all sick fucks!

    五毛党万岁

  27. Pfffff. That Chinese Kid: making up shit about Japan, while one of China’s best developed skills, is not a well paid one. You’re truly off your head if you believe (even a little bit) that poverty and homelessness are sweeping the Japanese archipelago (and Korea for that matter). You also may have forgotten about countries like Thailand and Vietnam…

What scarred you so? Why lash out at Japan and Korea with fake statistics? Why ignore

  28. Kid…I thinks its the Chinese that don’t give a rat’s ass about the future…hey don’t have a long term goal, just make quick buck here and now.

  29. what??homeless???japan&korea???
Japan and South Korea even if the homeless are women are protected in the government.
    I’ve never heard….Homeless Chinese women often hear…lol

  30. Out of hand, I can give you lots of examples of Chinese women staying with their husband and even nan pengyou when things are going wierd and economically unpleasant.

When will you kids learn that China is not just a country like your provincial Britain, Oz, France, or even US, but a continent, a continuum, well 20% of mankind? Everything is happening there, to better and worse. It is possible to experience it to some extent, understanding, moreover describing takes a personality like Lu Xun. And sorry mates, you’re falling far short of.

  31. Everything is happening there, and 80% of it is extreme rural poverty. We don’t talk about and don’t care about that. The China that has any cultural relevance is a series of cities on the east coast of China.
Also noteworthy in your comment: there are a billion people and you know “lots” of women who stayed with their husbands through economic hardship. Ever known anyone who died from drinking contaminated water? If not, it’s probably not an issue, yeah?

  32. Exceptions always exist. I could give examples of American couples I knew in college that dated seriously from the get go and weren’t just f*ck bunnies, but as a whole, the American college community seems to be obsessed with the giant orgy that college is. A few examples don’t change the majority. I’ll give on the fact that there is a minority group of them that still do seek love rather than a wallet though.

  33. First, rural problems are, according to CASS, not 80%, but at most 53.4% of Chinese woes from 2009 on (I am suspecting that urban dwelling is still underestimated by well 10% in those figures, thus I believe in reverse figures 46.6 rural vs. 53.4 urban – jftr).

Extreme poverty as well is not really a Chinese phenomenon anymore. According to official statistics, 75 million ppl lived below 1US$ a day in 2009 – there are about 500-800 million in India, just for comparison.

And ok, you are focussing rightly on the limited scope of every individual. Yet, opinion polling would not be possible without a considerably high degree of uniformity and self-similarity inside countries and societies which means that well-taken observations may be valid even on a relatively small sample.

So far, your criticism is unfounded. Disproving would imply showing that my observations are far beyond mainstream – which may be the case and is a common cause for misjudgements. Yet, you failed to bring up any argument of this kind. Do you want to be taken seriously?

  34. If you’re using real statistics, that’s great. I’m all for them.

Still, I don’t think I could get my tongue far enough into my cheek to say that other countries are provincial and China is where it’s happening. China’s got lots of dudes and ladies, some good, some bad. That I can dig. What I can’t dig is the suggestion that mere numbers mean anything in terms of culture. Titanic was an awful movie and China is not some awesome super-country just because they keep over a billion in thrall.

Granted, the extreme poverty in China is creeping away from starvation. But without leisure time/ internet access/ spending money the VAST majority of China are “a bunch of hicks” who’ve never travelled over 200km from their place of birth. While I wish them the best, they are not a part of the China that we Chinasmack readers follow… even Chinese netizens generally mention them only in the Pathos posts.

RE: “lots”, abandoning your husband for money is sort of a “nuclear event”, like murdering your parents. Even a 1% occurrence rate would be insanely, society-destroyingly high. Whatever the actual numbers, I think the sentiment is there, and Chinese men fear it. So do western men.

It’s also a socio-economically influenced matter. Chinese people who are in the orbit of foreigners are much more likely to be financially stable – especially Chinese people in the orbit of a person with such a nuanced understanding of statistics.

Anyway, I appreciate the comment. I was basically poking around on this thread looking if I could get any legs behind the idea of defending Japan around here.

  35. yeah good point. the problem is not that feminist issues are not valid and existant. My oldest daugter is a sales manager, and she is outstandingly successful. Yet (as she is intelligent enough to access the company’s data) she realizes that she is underpaid by half and even more compared to male employees with half the sales and worse education – she’s holding a master degree in science and lots of business experience. And even females with doctor degree are treated worse than male bachelors. This is outrageous, and it is western business.

My perception is that in China females are less discriminated than in the West. There are more female billionaires, and more females get executed for fraud and graft.

    a^2

  36. The problem is that Japanese porn can really go to the extreme.
Which is why it gets such a bad rep…the crazy stuff is just more common in Japanese porn.
I think that extreme fetishes are just more accepted in Japan…and it’s customer base has just become desensitized towards ‘typical’ porn, so much that it’s really gotten out of hand. I mean seriously….only in Japan is there a real customer base for “s**t eating”. Just simply waaaaay over the top.

  37. Indeed many Chinese jongen think Japan has the biggest AV industry in the world (is it true?).
It did occur to me that there arent much native production of AV in China, most come from Japan or US. Guess thats where this assumption come from.
But difference is, in many Japanese porns, men spent 10 hours using all types of toys to arouse the women and then do it for 10 minutes. IN western porns men just do it.

  38. Well, now it’s morning in Japan, and time to come back and babysit this thread. :p

Take this one rule to heart, and you will understand Japan better than half of the world: when you hear about stuff from Japan that seems totally crazy, it’s probably a gimmick.

There is freaky Japanese porn for one reason: it gets (viral) press. There are two effects there: 1st, if there is a market for some weird fetish, going viral is the only way to get the word out and get global weirdos buying. 2nd, it draws attention to the company. “So you’re not into penetration with eels? Maybe you’d prefer some other freaky shit we sell…”

The western media has an hard time figuring out when Japanese folks are taking the piss. In part, this is because too many of the foot soldiers of the western media in Japan don’t speak/ read Japanese, or are too lazy/ not connected enough to do any research.

And unlike Korea, Japan doesn’t have an army of noisy ESL speakers out there defending her and defaming her enemies.

Now, the extreme “2-D” (anime manga) stuff, I can’t really defend.

  39. Yes, good, good, your anger makes you stronger.

  40. Girls do not prefer guys who must say such things to comfort themselves. Girls like confident men. Confident men do not talk all day about how they are bigger than other men.

  41. ” That is so true”
Particularly in Singapore, Taiwan & Seoul, women feed us, clothe us & bear us gifts in exchange for our dicks.

  42. Jesus Christ Al stfu

  43. I do not think you are using niu bi correctly. There are good and bad laowai here. Many hate their life here in China and many love their life in China. Many are good people and many are worthless. Many are more successful here than in their home countries and many are not. This is the truth.

  44. I agree with Fauna, you’re not using NB correctly. And you used it as a noun anyway (“a niu bi”), not an adjective. All that aside, there is a huge inferiority complex among many Chinese men when encountering foreigners. Also, in China, old ideas die hard and there are many negative stereotypes of foreigners that were formed 100 years ago that are still alive today. However Chinese woman are probably less concerned with these ancient stereotypes or not concerned with male power-struggle so their attraction to the exotic foreigner is only natural. The same thing happens in the US as well.

  45. I was talking about where I’m at. America. America’s homeless Asian women population.

  46. I think I just fell in love.

  47. You’re generalizing; there must be a subset of neurotic women who have a preference for neurotically insecure men. Perhaps it’s a type of egoism, that they seek in others what they find in themselves.

  48. I am of the belief that a confident narcissist would talk about himself all day and how he’s better than everyone.

I do agree that most braggarts aren’t confident, but it’s important not to make a generality. Some guys are just confident and amazed at their own awesomeness. (I am not one of these but have a couple friends like this. They are very secure, but enjoy reveling in their high performance.)

  49. Depends on the girl, hun. Everyone is different, thus they will interpret the word “confident” a differently.

  50. Depends on the girl, hun. Everyone is different, thus they will interpret the word “confident” differently.

  51. What an epic failure.

Laowai… or should I call you Mr. xian, you old chestnut.

  52. …by more than the half?

  53. HaWu (former bleah)

    Juice in China?
    Now that’s interesting…

  54. Chinese kiddo. You have got to be kidding (no pun intended). Homeless drug-addicted Japanese/Korean prostitutes in the US? Hahahaha! You have anything more outlandish to contribute?

  55. There are good and bad laowai here. Many hate their life here in China and many love their life in China. Many are good people and many are worthless. Many are more successful here than in their home countries and many are not. This is the truth.

All you’re saying is that it’s a complex matter that cannot be easily simplified.

When it comes to more detail, however, many expatriates are expatriates for a reason; there is Pico Iyer detailing “FILTH” (Failed In London, Try Hong Kong). The ones who make their living in a foreign country, especially in a developing country, are more likely than not to be suspect. That they make their living in a foreign country suggests their failure to make it at home, especially when the opportunity for the highest level of achievement (Pallavi Aiyar said something to the effect that life is happier for Indian elites than Chinese elites due to politics, but life is happier for the common Chinese than the common Indian due to economics. Opportunity in China is similar; it’s a great place to make a bit of money, but you can’t set up deep roots here if you’re a foreigner– Zhongnahai will not accept HSBC as a national champion and neither will it accept your business. For the leading edge of high tech, for at least the next 5 years, R&D is more productive in places other than China) is greater at home than abroad.

That said, there are some very impressive expatriates in China, but they are more a minority in China than they would be at home, and I’d argue that the cream of the crop is not present here.

  56. fauna deleted my post. someone doesn’t agree with u, someone says something u don’t like.. censor it.. china style~

  57. Uber: you are spot on. There are gold diggers everywhere, one just needs to stay away from them and find the right one.

  58. There are tons of comments on here by people who don’t agree with Fauna (not even sure how you know what her positions are given how little she says). There are also tons of comments that Fauna doesn’t like. They’re not deleted or censored. Why is that?

  59. It might just be me, but I usually find Fauna’s comments (when she makes them) to be pretty “雷人”.

  60. I just don’t get it. The Scandinavians criticize each other, the North Americans (Canada and US) criticize each other, China, Japan and Korea criticize each other. Neighbors.

We’re all just humans, no one is perfect. We’re all a fallen race.

  61. you havent been to china lately; they sell it on the sidewalks, everyday

  62. nice to visit a bugger to live in.
    thier government needs some punishing.

  63. I agree, China’s much bigger and harder to take care of and because S Korea is richer (manufacturing electronics and stuff) and smaller.

  64. peter
biches are all over, look in your house you might find the woman having great pleasure being fuck

  65. I second that. Statistically Chinese people are more likely to ask me how much I earn than why I came to China, or what my hobbies are. But that is not to say that all Chinese women are only interested in money, but many are. Generally speaking, a gold-digger features the following:

    - Good looking (or at least she thinks she is)
    - Likes to be better than other people but cannot on her own
    - Uneducated
    - Lazy
    - Has hardly any or no career prospects
    - Has no hobbies or passions other than going shopping
    - She would happily trade half her brain for an LV handbag an her IQ would stay the same
    - Hard to please
    - Controlling
    - Unable to love her man
    - Cares about nobody but herself
    - Can be rude when angry or dissatisfied
    - May humiliate you in public if you don’t fulfil her demands
    - Generally terrible at sex
