While it is true that Chinese women have relatively more shortcomings, Japanese women are far from perfect. Take for example them waiting for you at the door when you return home, helping hold your bag/briefcase and saying you’ve had a tough day. This is just Japan’s basic etiquette, there’s no real meaning/sincerity. After marriage, Japanese women often just stay at home and no longer work, not independent like Chinese women, and what more, they believe that if they still have to go out and work after getting married, they will be looked down upon by others.

I’m just an old America guy whose has lived with/married/fooled around with both Japanese and Chinese women far, far longer than you have been alive. Sorry, but your list is laughably wrong—They are just WOMEN.

Your ideas about how wonderful Japanese women compared to Chinese are misguided. Yes, on the whole Japanese women are somewhat better than Chinese. But heh, even Chinese women are better than American women*.

1.　“Japanese women often teach their children to bravely fight…” 逆さま! INSANELY WRONG! Japanese nowadays are the most pavid people on the planet. There is no such thing as a “brave” Japanese (all the brave died in WWII leaving a nation to breed only cowards).
3. “Japanese women usually believe marrying foreigners is a kind of disgrace.” Yes and no. Japanese parents believe marrying foreigners disgraceful, unless the foreinger is rich. Japanese women are mostly curious about foreingers—Maybe 20-30% have a fetish for Western foreigners.
4. “Japanese women are normally lady-like, but dirty in bed.” 逆さま!! WRONG! Japanese women are passive (but willing) in bed. Chinese are screamers in bed (and sadly out of bed too).
5. “China is the world’s number one country for one-night stands…” Japanese and Chinese are the same.

I had no money, little potential, and a lot of disgrace for my bride. Now, 28 years later, I’m a CFO, earn lots of cash, have a big house in Hawaii on the beach, and entertain my in-laws regularly. I’ve met many Japanese “relatives” that I didn’t know I had. Regardless, the Jwife gives me enough money to ride my Harley and takes care of my elderly mother. What more can I ask for?

I think it would be just to consider the current socio-economic situation in China and Japan before comparing the stereotypes between the behavior of women in these two cultures.

Although China is now on the global spotlight, it is still an emerging third world country where most of its citizens, including women, are striving for a better living standard, thus the common obsession with money.

Japan on the other hand has already dealt with the growing pains of development and thus women are prone to focus more on transendential qualities when approaching these living decisions.

Some parts might be true, but some definetly not.
Japanese women are just as meterialistic as Chinese.
There is even a minimal wage what you have to earn in case you want to have any chance to find a wife. Of corse it does not apply to 100% of the women.
Also many Japanese girls/women prefer older friend/husband because they tend to have more money.
Nice and bad people are in every country, so IMO this isn’t accurate.

You can’t say that fresh foreign grads are losers from back home if they came straight to China, can you? Well OK, you can, but this would be unreasonable.

There is an increasing number of science PhDs coming from overseas and researching in China, myself being one of them. Like one of the posters said above… another 5 years and China will be in the mix. The technology is already here, but the smooth running infrastructure required for top-notch research is still in growth phase. I could have easily gone to a top US university to carry out my research but I wanted to live in China. If adventure is misinterpreted as weakness, then I’d rather not listen.

As for the guy who said that FOB next gen Chinese are the biggest (then second) losers — I can only say, thanks! As Chinese are taking up all your medical and law places the ‘not so good’ might as well go to the fast growing country in the world to catch onto some of the vibes.

these are mostly true and can be proven by history and present-day living by japanese and chinese. japanese lives by integrity (even in business). “harakiri” is more preferred than to lose one’s own face/integrity. apparently, chinese are well-known for treachery (even in business) and oftentimes run-away from getting into trouble because they are more concerned about saving their own skin. as for AV women, those are women in japan who do that for work. above-mentioned are normal women living normal daily lives. above post is not about countries, but personalities observed in majority. there is no point of argument on which country is better.

likewise, above-mentioned observations on chinese women also rings true for thai women (most, not all).

Japanese women love foreigners. Nowadays, almost all the girls want to marry white men because they just adore and even worship white people so much. They treat white people like kings and queens. Just pick a girl in Tokyo and you know I am not lying.

I do not find Chinese women this terrible actually. I am not a Chinese and I do not particularly love China but I think Chinese women have a lot of charming unique characters too. Chinese women are all ladies. They are faithful to their husbands. They know exactly how to raise their children, they know much better than Japanese in fact.

Japanese women also have a lot of terrible features. They way they speak? Oh, I just cannot bear it. Their voices sound like birds or something. Weird. Also, they love yelling, I mean, Japanese women are totally different in 21st century.

Hello, I have been to mainland China three times and have been married to my wife Dongmei for nearly four years,so one would think such a man would have a bit of cred speaking on this subject and all of my wifes friends are here from China on K1 Visa a dozen,so. We visit there homes and they ours-Meaning my experiance extends beyond what I know of Chinese ladies and how they treat life and their Husbands.Some of the Husbands are now my friends as well.This post is very broad and inacurate’ yes there are common threads like anything else in life.I give this 14 comparison post a 20% acurracy grade, if I was to be literal about it.I think a fellow would need to live a thousand years having dozens of marriages Chinese/ Japanese to have even a chance at expertease on People. Oh yes I need to say my Chinese wife is great.

I think this article is obviously biased. It’s very sterotypical. Frankly i don’t see why this has generated so much conversation, because I think people would know better than to agree or disagree with it’s inaccurate sayings. Both nationalities fit both descriptions. I do feel sorry for the chinese people, because of the fire wall, they are unable to stand up for themselves against this kind of racism. (I bet you anything half of the people who commented on this post are even female!)

Well i can’t speak for japanese women at all but I can speak for my wife who is Chinese. Everything that has been said for the Japanese arguement 1-14 except for number 3 describes my wife perfectly. I agree with 牛百万 post that states :
China has more good women than any country in the world; At the same time, China’s also has the most bad women in the world.
I wish to state :
If your a woman ask what you would expect from a man and then ask yourself if you were a man what you would expect from yourself. :)
This post is very extreme must have been posted by a Korean , they are alwyas overlooked :)

I am Chinese, and I married a Japanese girl. I do take the points and the humour this articles offers, quite amusing, and I do not think all my country people out there should take it seriously or as an offence. I have seen articles written on Japanese men and their short penises, which provides entertainment on a similar level. Many Western men who are called “loosers” go to China or Japan to teach English, but really they get to be called sensei and get laid. But I think they are smart in a way to make the best of out their situations. As long as things work for an individual in certain culture or society, should we care men or women? If anyone has got jokes, they should keep writing and keep us all entertained. Cheers!

May I kindly remind those who take critical reviews on this article and the like, that any such generalization of Japan or China ( both nations have over hundreds of thousands of women) is bound to be more-than-inaccurate. I wonder if this article should have appeared under a clarified genre, because we are all just speculating on the author’s intention, and it is not sensible to judge others based on our perception. Shouldn’t we be criticized as well if we do it?

Out of all the women in Japan and China, they do not ALL think the same way and do not “always” do what the above generalized list of “differences” say. I talk to myself, asking me questions:

How I came to this page?
-Why, when I have a girlfriend I do not feel much interest in the Japanese AV?

-Is machismo (male pride, chauvinist) say that things change when she and I discussed?
-What she is interested when we fight?
can I take into account their needs?
Can she take into account my needs?

–When I’m metting a girl:
Is she interested in me (my culture, my life)?
Why do I keep talking to her?
Do I think there is something behind?
Since, she’s sexy?
Do I am interested in it (her culture, her life)?
Why do I keep talking to her?
Do I think there is something behind?
Since, she’s sexy?

Do I worry that a person may be interested just in money?
-Why?

If I can not have a girl that have always the same opinion than mine (since it is natural), Can I accept it and not act like a fool or child (in fact a child is more assertive)?

Can she?

-How loyal I can be?

-Do I need fancy words to defend my opinion?

I think everything depends on how Assertive I am.
