Chongqing Monorail Passes Through Building, Unique Throughout Entire Country

2014 July 31st, at Liziba in Yuzhong District of Chongqing, the Line 2 monorail passes through a building. Many netizens complain about/make fun of Chongqing’s complex topography, its godly monorail, its godly terrain, making it a one of a kind sight in the country.

Chongqing Rail Transit is the public metro system of Chongqing, China, operated by the Chongqing Rail Transit (Group) Limited Co., and began operations on 2004 November 6. Among its lines, the Line 2 monorail is the first urban metro in China’s western regions, as well as China’s first straddle-beam monorail line.

Chongqing is located to the southeast of the Sichuan basin, with the Daba, Wushan, Wuling, and Dalou Mountains to its north, east and south. Most of the terrain is composed of hills and mountains, with lots of its area being slopes, resulting in the city being known as a “mountain city”. As a result, the light rail must pass through the building.

I wouldn’t live in that building even if you gave it to me.

When Japan has light rail that passes through buildings, you people call it a marvel, but when our country has a light rail that passes through buildings, you people talk shit. Are you people without shame?

Why doesn’t this light rail pass through a government building?

That building’s fengshui is bad.

Can’t believe the residents agreed to that.

This is Line 2 and I have to take this every week going to school. There is a light rail station in there. There isn’t much noise so it basically doesn’t affect the residents.

Are the city planners retarded? Or was the money saved embezzled?

Don’t act so surprised, most of Chongqing is this type of terrain, with houses all built on the hills and mountainsides.

So did the building come first or did the train tracks come first?

You can jump off the building to ride the light rail.

If it derails, then the people in the building are done for. Is this type of design within regulations?
