From Sina Weibo:

@李铁根: 2014’s top 20 unethical news stories.

[Note: 没品 is difficult to translate here. Generally, it means unethical, lacking in moral character, and even “lacking in taste” or “tasteless”. However, at least a few of these stories do not necessarily have an “unethical” angle to them, and there were plenty of other news stories of “unethical” behavior. Same for “tasteless”. Therefore, the general sentiment here would be incidents considered strange/odd, embarrassing/shameful, or silly/quirky.]

      That’s strange indeed – as in how the password of a ‘found’ card was discovered..but whatever. Lots of the stuff here seems weird..I like the lady who took her son/’grandson’ in for a paternity test (and why..??) uncovering the likelihood that her husband impregnated their daughter in law..

      • 1234 – I’ve known people to actually have that password. Or, as said above, some people actually write their password on the card.

    • mr.wiener

      I remember most of these….They aren’t fake.

    • monster

      some people write down passwords on the back of their cards.
      it’s card for kid,so guess parents did so.
      my friend once got a bank card in street,it’s comany account,so they wrote passwords on.latter the company girl had to call 110 to let her to give it back.

    It’s a bit funny how it’s called the ‘top 20 quirky things of 2014’.

    Because, like, “Waiter waiter! There’s a condom in my soup!” ***waiter comes, promptly grabs the condom and swallows it whole, like a fucking dongguan prostitute***

    “Oh that was just nothing, it’s ok now”

    -sounds like a quirky story!

    More like a top 20 list of what the fuck is wrong with this country.

    To be able to see the change in facial expressions of the patron who first saw the condom in his/her dish to seeing the manager swallow it. I could watch the whole thing on mute and still be thoroughly amused.

    Huh, I could have sworn I saw all these news stories coming out of Florida this year too. What’s the Chinese version of Florida Man?
