May 9th, Japan’s NHK television channel reported that a female traffic police officer in North Korea’s capital Pyongyang, as a result of her efforts to protect a revolutionary senior official’s safety, was awarded North Korea’s highest “Hero of the Republic” honor. Little North Korea is alright. For them to be able to be so firm and staunch in the face of the United States making things so difficult for it and blockading it, that’s very rare and precious. This is a kind of quality/essence, unlike Little South Korea, which yells for its sugar daddy whenever something happens.

First time I read the Chinese comments and was disappointed. The Korean comments on KoreaBANG often disappoint me, but the Chinese comments are usually really understanding.

    • http://www.facebook.com/gordon.gogodancer Gordon Gogodancer

Did you just say “usually really understanding” ?

      • http://www.facebook.com/people/Derek-Roark/1258035830 Derek Roark

Yes I did. You usually don’t see ignorant comments like this: “No worries, continue on, and after a few years, North Korea’s
mental retards will go extinct… Starvation is a means of natural
selection… Those who don’t use their brains deserve to die of hunger”

They’re common in English comments, Spanish comments or as I said, on the sister site, KoreaBANG. Usually the Chinese comments are less harsh except for when criticizing Chinese, and even then, they’re not so overblown and ridiculous.

      • http://500px.com/justinrjones whiskersthecat

It’s adorable how seemingly new and naive this guy is. It’s like me, when I first moved to China. I remember thinking how nice, accepting, open, and friendly everyone was. Then I learned Chinese.

        • GatsbyC

          1. Naive perspective on foreign land based on no real experience.

          2. Disillusionment when reality of said land does not mirror fantasy.

          3. Then I learned Chinese A.K.A everyone’s an asshole cus no one luv me for true cus I’m foreigner why no????

          • http://500px.com/justinrjones whiskersthecat

Never did I say I fantasized anything about how China would be. Generally, when people say “oh wow, the Chinese people are so nice and friendly!” or whatever, it’s an expression of astonishment, meaning it was a surprise. Surprises are always unexpected events.

          • GatsbyC

Fantasy = whatever you conjured up in your head before taking in any sensory information from the physical world.

Call it THINKING, imagination, foresight, daydreaming, etc.

You said: “I remember thinking how nice, accepting, open, and friendly everyone was. Then I learned Chinese.”

Everything after the word “Generally” is you shouting out common knowledge.

          • http://500px.com/justinrjones whiskersthecat

Fantasy would be like, before going to China, you sit at home and think “man, I bet the Chinese are all riding around in rickshaws and doing kung fu, because it’s like that in the movies!” Not being able to understand Chinese, and thus not being able to understand ignorant or rude comments against you is not an exercise in fantasy about what I EXPECTED China to be. It’s a judgement made by what, as you say, “sensory information” I was able to take from the “physical world”. Later, when I had learned Chinese, I was able to take in a different element of the “physical world” and thus change my assessment of the “physical world” based on this new “sensory information”. Whatever you want to call it.

And no, not everything after the word “generally” is common knowledge. It’s like you just told me that I was naive and living in fantasy for thinking that Chinese were unanimously nice, open, friendly…and then later tell me that that is actually common knowledge. Brilliant.

          • GatsbyC

This is still semantics. Call it whatever you want.

You were never in China. You had an IDEA/THOUGHT what China was like.

Rickshaws are not always made of wood.

          • http://500px.com/justinrjones whiskersthecat

I moved to China when I was 22 and fresh out of college. I had absolutely no assumptions about what China was like because I really had no clue about any of Asia, really. I went to China purely because I didn’t know shit about it except, while looking up information on finding employment in South America, someone told me it’s pretty easy to find work in China and everything is cheap as chips. The assumptions I made about the locals there being super helpful and friendly were made after having been in China for a while, and slowly changed to be less admiring after I learned Chinese. And then, yeah, I was actually in China for a bit over 4 years.

Your assumption would probably fit into the naive fantasy category you mentioned before.

He is a pretty crappy actor in my opinion. Then again his looks probably compensate that in you mind :p

        • linette lee

No, Keanu was awesome in matrix. No other hollywood actor could’ve portrayed the role Neo better than Keanu. He owned the role. And he displayed impressive athleticism. No stunt man in those scenes. It was all keanu.

          • http://sinopathic.com/ terroir

No other actor could look as bewildered and confused as Keanu in Matrix 1, and as dry and monotonous is Matrix sequels.

Even Ryan Gosling would have made it more tempered.

          • BiggJ

You know they were going to get Will Smith to play Neo but he refused. lol

          • linette lee

Will smith is very good. He was really good in I am legend. What a body. :)
But no, I don’t picture him as neo.

          • Ruaraidh

I Am Legend is by far the worst adaptation of book-to-film, in a tradition of terrible Hollywood book-to-film adaptations.

          • Klove

I liked the Charlton Heston one best, the omega man

          • Rick in China

Will Smith would have been a HORRIBLE cast in that role, at least, I would imagine the movie would end up being entirely different in tone. He’s way too expressive and boombastic…

          • BiggJ

Yeah it would be him getting pissed at people for saying “you people” or something like that. It would be one black cliche after another. Imagine if Ice Cube was Neo. lol…better yet.. what of Neo was played by Jackie Chan haha….no CGI required. lol They could even skip that whole scene where buddy programmed Neo with all the martial arts.

          • Rick in China

I think it’d be better if it was played by real life Alex Jones.

When he first woke up, he’d be like “I FUCKING KNEW IT!”..

          • Klove

You brit’s don’t tell us we can’t keep our guns! LOL!

          • Klove

Hehe, it was more poking fun at Alex Jones, when he went off on one at Piers Morgan…us old redcoats, lol.

          • Rick in China

Ohhh got it, yeah I remember that interview. It was amusing – especially the ‘behind the scenes’ rants.. dude is nutty.

          • Klove

Agreed, do you reckon Keanu nailed it though?

          • Rick in China

I liked it – and the role, in my mind, was supposed to be a sort of “what the fuck is going on” character – which he plays pretty well.

I don’t know who would have done it better, and unlike some people on the thread, I enjoyed the movies.. so I guess my answer is yes :D

            “Whoa”

          • linette lee

I was able to sit still and finished watching the whole 3 sequels of matrix because of Keanu. If it was another actor no way I can do that. Keanu was perfect as neo. I don’t remember most of the plot of matrix. All I remember was keanu looking sexy in his black boots and black leather coat kicking asses. And I am sure many female audience agreed.

          • http://sinopathic.com/ terroir

            Ms Lee,

as per your infatuation of Mr Reeves, your watching all three Matrix movies (including the inferior, never to be mentioned again sequels) can be explained in no other way. Sorry you had to see his eyes burned out in the last one — hey, sorry you had to see it at all.

As per what “The Matrix” actually all means: just think “China” = the Matrix.

Morpheus:The Matrix is a system, Neo. That system is our enemy. But when you’re inside, you look around, what do you see? Businessmen, teachers, lawyers, carpenters. The very minds of the people we are trying to save. But until we do, these people are still a part of that system and that makes them our enemy. You have to understand, most of these people are not ready to be unplugged. And many of them are so inured, so hopelessly dependent on the system, that they will fight to protect it.

          • BiggJ

            lol

          • Rick in China

Terroir, that’s the best reply I’ve seen from you. I like it. ++

          • http://sinopathic.com/ terroir

Substitute for 5,000 years of China:

Morpheus: Do you want to know what it is?
            Neo: Yes.
Morpheus: The Matrix is everywhere. It is all around us. Even now, in this very room. You can see it when you look out your window or when you turn on your television. You can feel it when you go to work… when you go to church… when you pay your taxes. It is the world that has been pulled over your eyes to blind you from the truth.
            Neo: What truth?
Morpheus: That you are a slave, Neo. Like everyone else you were born into bondage. Into a prison that you cannot taste or see or touch. A prison for your mind.

Also: guess where Zen and Buddhism comes from (like, I mean, in the neighborhood)?

          • BrandeX

            Um, from India for Buddhism.

Zen is of Chinese derivation however.

          • linette lee

yeah..hong kong style milk tea is so good. We also call it silk stocking milk tea. It’s rich and creamy with just the right proportion of combination of different black teas and condensed milk and evaporated milk. . Taste different than the regular milk tea. It’s really good. :)

            http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_RDpi4OfLSls/THVMrSibd6I/AAAAAAAAAEc/RnGTJEwL19M/s1600/straining+tea.jpg

          • Klove

Just curious, is there anywhere you can see the tea being made the old way, with the stocking? You are right it is the richness that gives it that unique flavour, they know how to get the condensed and evaporated mixture just right. Yet to find a good cup of it anywhere on the mainland, except a HK run place right near the border in Luohu, SZ. Thanks for the info!

          • linette lee

There a lot of places you can go to have silky stocking milk tea. HK has many street foods those small window shops for take out. They are cheap and delicious.

Bing, bing, bing! …And we have a winner! NK is one of the few nations left on earth that is not under the control of a foreign-owned central bank, which makes their economy wealth-based, as opposed to debt-based like ours and all the other developed/ing countries’ economies. If NK can resist a military invasion and overcome the crippling effects of decades of UN economic & trade sanctions against it, eventually their economy will recover and potentally be one of the strongest in the world. Such a devotion to keep the NK citizens free from the enslavement of private debt and retain its own national resources is a monumental undertaking, and suggests a leader who has a protective love for his people and a desire to protect his country from corrupt foreign monetary influence. This is a classic underdog story that has been grossly manipulated by the corporate media propaganda machine throughout the world. Exhibit A: The news stories conveniently left out the fact that in the days & weeks leading up to NK’s alleged threats to bomb the US, both SK & US troops began performing maneuvers right outside of the DMZ in SK, in plain sight of NK troops. Kim Jong Un was doing what every school kid ought to know; standing up to a bully so that the threats don’t escalate into physical attacks. If there was any actual threat to US citizens, believe me, we’d be the last to know about it.

So these are nk government employees. They don’t look starving to me. They all have nice rosy cheeks. Not cheeks like skeleton like most hungry people. Hungry starving people you can see their cheekbones cause they are so skinny like those starving chinese farmers.

These nk gov’t employees definitely get better treatment than non gov’t official. They eat and watch their people starve. Too much corruption in NK.

    • radbab

You see a lot of those fellows when you visit NK’s revolutionary sights. People who look like the migrant workers on the construction sites – small, bent, skinny and with very dark wrinkly skin from working outside all the time.

      • linette lee

yeah…that is telling you, China gives nk so much money and supply annually but NK gov’t is not feeding their people. They took the money and all the greedy nk gov’t officials and their family members are being fed. They don’t look hungry. Corruption.

    • soulreflex

I was in Pyongyang on Kim Jong Il’s birthday in 2010. Everywhere was full of pomp – ‘mass dances’ in squares, figure skating events with Ukrainian and Russian skaters, and of course synchronized swimming to such hits as “We must give blood and tears for the future of our great socialist empire.” When we finally made it to the Kim Il Sung statue (which now has Fatty II next to it), many groups came in blocks to ‘pay their respects.’ The traffic girls, in their blue suits, came at the same time as we did, and I got a good look at about 200 of them. Since 99% of them are more attractive than this award winner, I think she’s probably surprised that she pulled this off. Perhaps her feiji da’ing skills surpass those of the other beauties.

However, something to note is this is a domestic abuse survey, it is primarily about men forcing themselves upon their wives and girlfriends, rather than abductions, date rape, incest, etc. The point is, if a woman in China marries a good man or remains single, she is to my knowledge mostly still safe, which is the most you can get anywhere, since there will be a number of awful husbands everywhere.

        • BiggJ

They should survey woman and see how many of them have been raped…and see if the numbers match up. lol

          • donscarletti

Well, I think you should ask them who raped them and crossreference. This way you’d get a true number of individual rapists, as well as statistics on number of victims per rapist, rapists per victim and a whole host of other information to pour over for years.

    • James

diversity is strength. will these be popping up in cn now?

      • http://www.facebook.com/gordon.gogodancer Gordon Gogodancer

what the hell is this? it’s nut! haha; Is this serious? Or somekind of a local joke?

    • Charles

No way man… this cannot be right. Those numbers are way too high. I cannot believe that the China dally posted this. 1/4 of Chinese men are rapists? I really find this difficult to believe.

      • BiggJ

Usually they sugarcoat things…so maybe it’s more like 1/2? hahah
Seriously though that number is way too high….it just has to be.

        • Jahar

maybe it compares to kissing a girl without asking, in their minds. who knows man.

Honestly, the upsetting thing for me is that the accompanying photo is of a group of men playing around with by inflating a condom like a balloon

    • KAMIKAZIPILOT

Arrgggh, that is disturbing and kind of hard for me to believe, or I don’t want to believe it. I never really though of China as a particularly violent place and never felt physically threatened there but I guess for women it’s a different matter.

    • ScottLoar

I, too, find that hard to believe, unless the men interviewed perversely thought rape is manly and so wanted to puff themselves up to standard.

      • BiggJ

lol, I can see not admitting to wanting to go over seas….but to admit you raped someone? That’s not even the same chapter…the a whole other book.lol Maybe chinese men do think it manly. lol What make me think it could be real is that china daily published the story. lol….Maybe if CNN or BBC had this story…then maybe there could be some bullshit to…but to say that about your own people?…that’s weird.

    • http://www.facebook.com/gordon.gogodancer Gordon Gogodancer

I remember 3 chinese guys telling me that due to historical reasons (you already know which one, the one and only really, yes yes the one about having a small dick not the one about Nanjing) Chinese men should be allowed to rape Japanese women. Of course they justified this by saying that Japanese raped Chinese women during the war. I asked if any one in their family got raped. I wished one of them would have said yes…i could have then called him “小日本!!” hahhaha

      • http://www.facebook.com/gordon.gogodancer Gordon Gogodancer

        又小又日本! double fail! :D

    • http://www.facebook.com/gordon.gogodancer Gordon Gogodancer

    • Chinese

Then they have a strange definition of “rape”.

      • Chinese

OK, it turns out they included “rape” between partners.

        • Ami

“Rape” is sex without consent. Rape can happen between partners, family and strangers. Just because “put a ring on it” doesn’t mean you can force yourself on somebody when they don’t want it.

        • Rick in China

If you really think raping your (well, in this case I’d guess boyfriend) is acceptable, I feel *really* bad for them.

    • Chinese

OK, I have read the survey. it’s not on Chinese men but the men of the 6 countries (Bangladesh, Cambodia, China, Indonesia, Papua New Guinea and Sri Lanka).

All I want to say is this is some really f*cked up journalism.

      • http://www.chinasmack.com/ MrT

should of surveyed Pakistan and India, oh and Brazil.

      • vincent

The focus of the study is on the men of the 6 countries mentioned, but the results posted in the article focus on China, you can refer to the chart on page number 2, the results being above 50%.

        • Jin Ch’in

Was the survey focusing China as a country or Chinese born men? if its China as a country which include Laowai then i would believe it. There’s been so many stories about foreigners raping Chinese women.

          • http://500px.com/justinrjones whiskersthecat

            So much denial

          • vincent

The survey focused on Chinese men only.

          • Chinese

Then we must be not reading the same survey.

          • vincent

Oh I should have worded that properly, the article mainly focuses on the results of the survey in China and the first page reports on those results mainly, this is the link http://english.peopledaily.com.cn/90882/8238890.html and I’ll attach the chart that is on the second page was this the survey you read?

          • Chinese

            Then we are cross talking.

I’m talking about the results posted by moop.

          • vincent

It’s the same article, it’s on the first page “An international survey on domestic violence that interviewed more than 2,000 Chinese found that half of male respondents confessed they have physically or sexually abused their wives or girlfriends.
James Lang, program coordinator of Partners for Prevention, a regional joint program by four United Nations agencies including the UN Population Fund, said “some preliminary findings are shocking”.

The survey showed that one in two men reported using physical or sexual violence against an intimate partner, one in four reported having raped a woman and one in 25 admitted to having participated in gang rape.”

          • Chinese

The survey showed that one in two men reported using physical or sexual violence against an intimate partner, one in four reported having raped a woman and one in 25 admitted to having participated in gang rape.”

This part, which is posted by moop is not about Chinese men (although he wanted to make it look like such).

          • vincent

No moop is right it is about Chinese men only, I don’t think you continued to read the rest of the article, it was only an excerpt from the survey, ” The findings are part of a multi-country comparison study that has interviewed morethan 10,000 men and 2,000 women between the ages of 18 and 49 from six Asia-Pacific countries – Bangladesh, Cambodia, China, Indonesia, Papua New Guinea andSri Lanka.”
I doubt that moop had any malignant intent when he posted that, the results however should not be taken too seriously as the sample size was small and it was only taken from one county in South China.

          • Chinese

what’s your logic? If the study/survey is multinational, how come the result of this study/survey is about Chinese men only?

          • vincent

Uh because the ‘People’s Daily’ website that posted the results is China based therefore the article should pertain more to interpreting the results that are China centric. I think if the results were picked up by a news agency outside of China then they would interpret the results due to the relevancy to their country. The chart however shows the results for all the country that were included in the survey, I don’t really see whats so hard to understand.

          • Chinese

“Uh because the ‘People’s Daily’ website that posted the results is China based therefore the article should pertain more to interpreting the results that are China centric.”

            That’s a wild assumption.

“The chart however shows the results for all the country that were included in the survey, I don’t really see whats so hard to understand.”

That’s a chart about domestic violence. Domestic violence is listed separately from Rape.

          • vincent

A wild assumption? You must be joking see attached picture. Yes I am aware that the chart is for domestic violence as it would back up this statement made in the article, “The survey showed that one in two men reported using physical or sexual violence against an intimate partner”. The statistics for rape are different “one in four reported having raped a woman and one in 25 admitted to having participated in gang rape”, they just didn’t make a chart for it, and your point is what exactly?

          • Chinese

“A wild assumption? You must be joking see attached picture. ”

People’s daily would only post China related subject – the study is China related – the findings must be only about Chinese men.

            Is that not your logic?

I don’t see how you go from the second step to the third.

Yes I am aware that the chart is for domestic violence as it would back up this statement made in the article, “The survey showed that one in two men reported using physical or sexual violence against an intimate partner”.

            I didn’t challenge that.

“The statistics for rape are different “one in four reported having raped a woman and one in 25 admitted to having participated in gang rape”

            That’s just my point.

          • vincent

I’m going to try one last time to get it into your head, now read the following very carefully, the chart for China says a little over 50% engage in domestic violence, which would be 1 in 2 people, now read this excerpt from the article “The survey showed that one in two men reported using physical or sexual violence against an intimate partner, one in four reported having raped a woman and one in 25 admitted to having participated in gang rape”
This means that this entire statement refers to only CHINESE MEN, if they were talking about other countries the numbers would be different, you don’t start talking about Chinese men and then deviate to another country’s statistics.
Regarding my logic, I see nothing wrong with it, if you have facts that can refute my point why not present them? This seems to be a waste of time, you can lead a horse to water but you can’t make it drink.

          • Chinese

Do you mean that accidentally over 50% Chinese men have engage in domestic violence automatically make them the group in which”one in two men reported using physical or sexual violence against an intimate partner, one in four reported having raped a woman and one in 25 admitted to having participated in gang rape”?

Even though normal people would think the figures to be the weighted average of the statistics from DIFFERENT COUNTRIES who undertook the survey.

          • Charles

@Chinese – you need to learn how to read English.

          • Chinese

Do you have any other things to say other than insults?

          • vincent

Seriously read the article, I don’t even know why you would think it is the weighted average, what would the point be of giving a weighted average? Does that make any frigging sense to you?
Let me give you an example, I ask 1 man each in three different countries whether they have raped someone, let’s say China, Sri Lanka and Indonesia, 2 men say they have while 1 says that he hasn’t raped anyone, average the results and what happens? Do you see my point now?
You can’t average results like this, especially when the respondents are from different countries. The chart itself would have to be different, not listed by country.
Your point that this is how normal people think is hilarious.

          • Chinese

It’s tiresome indeed. I didn’t intend to make you look worse, but anyway .

This is a presentation by James Lang. Watch the video at bottom of the page. And to save our effort, don’t assume he is Chinese because of his surname.

            http://www.unwomen.org/2013/03/study-reveals-shocking-new-evidence-of-mens-use-of-violence-against-women-and-girls-in-asia-pacific/

          • vincent

You couldn’t have posted this link earlier? It would have saved me a lot of trouble, with this new info I guess it was a weighted average save for domestic violence that is.
I’ll admit I may be wrong about the statistics about rape, the article on People’s Daily could be written better. In any case the domestic violence rate is on the high end, almost as bad as Bangladesh no less.

I do hope they come out with a better chart listing the rates of domestic violence and rape by country rather than a weighted average which portrays an inaccurate picture.

          • Chinese

It also surprised me how far we could go.

          • vincent

Oh well it was fun while it lasted haha :)

          • Jin Ch’in

Then clearly the survey is just propaganda by some westerner who hate Chinese most likely because he see them driving Maserati’s and he is on his push bike.

          • vincent

Western propaganda on a Chinese website? Sounds legit, lol

          • GatsbyC

In this day an age where you can look up anything on google anecdotal bullshit is still even acknowledged? Read the article.

            SOURCE: http://www.chinadaily.com.cn/cndy/2013-05/10/content_16489105.htm

“The survey randomly interviewed about 1,000 men and 1,100 women in a COUNTY in SOUTH CHINA…”

Therefore, the sample does not reflect China as a whole.

Interestingly, they did not mention the number of women who were raped in the survey.

          • Chinese

That says a lot about their methodology.

    • http://www.chinasmack.com/ MrT

did they survey the women? bet it was worse if they did.

    • Mighty

If that is true then it makes 1 of 2 (maybe 1 out of 1) men in India a rapist.

      • kraitthegreat

Your statement just proved you were assfucked in india ! Proof- Assuming you make statements based on concrete facts & you don’t just pull them out of a smelly orifice of your body + knowing the fact that you are the only (Its possible there might be a handful more like minded bigots of a similarly low IQ as you) douchebag to put forth such a vile statistic, it follows that you’d have had to PERSONALLY go to india & poll each & every member of the male populace of that country since access to the internet and telephony services are not widely available. Now knowing that males constitute slightly more than half the population of india, (the remainder being females and sexual minorities) & adding your statistic “1 out of 1 men in India a rapist” it follows there were more than enough men left over to have anally raped you. Hence Proved. QED ! BTW, a word of caution, don’t shove that love stick too far up your colon during a bout of passionate self love – you just might need the expertise of an INDIAN DOCTOR to dislodge it !

        • Mighty

It’s always amusing to see how truth stings the people most affected by it. I’m positive there’s no internet access in prison so the fact that you’re able to post here means you’re one of the lucky sexual predators who hasn’t been caught yet. But again, the legal system in India is in such an abysmal state that you’re likely never to be arrested, let alone brought to justice.

The only news out of India is men raping women and girls as young as 5 years old. And as that’s not enough you now start raping tourists. Heaven forbid me to ever set foot in India.

Btw, does your tandoori cock burn from curry in your boyfriend’s anus?

          • kraitthegreat

1)Going by your spasticated logic, no one in india would ever be jailed for rape since all are guilty ! Your previous comment wasn’t the truth, rather a brain fart that polluted the conversation,it doesn’t sting, just smells ! YOU ARE RIGHT about the 5 yr old victim & the “bus rape” victim. Often women in india ARE treated horribly, and I bow my head in shame and disgust, I dont argue with the (very correct) perception of foreigners that india is sorely lacking on the issue of women’s rights- but when YOU call an entire population rapists, your’e only advertising your fucked up racism.
2)Boy, the ignorant swine got me on the INDIAN DOCTORS point !–http://www.ibtimes.com/boston-marathon-hero-underlines-rising-dominance-indian-doctors-us-1204821
            3) A low class, ignorant, racist bigot is NOT EVER going to set foot in india ? and that’s a loss for India, how ?
4)Do you still fondly remember the hard buggering you got from your indian lover & did he leave you because you weren’t intellectually stimulating enough for him ? Is that why you have such bigoted ideas about india?

          • Mighty

Ok ok ok, chill. Seeing that you’re passionately defending India I can respect that. I can continue to flame you but I choose not to. So extend the same respect to me.

If only you had first admitted the horrid treatment of women and expressed shame I would have commended you. Unfortunately, that came only after I pointed out the sad facts.

The “2-1 and 1-1 ratio” comment was only meant as a joke to China’s “1 in 4″ because there is no way that can be a fact. I really expect anyone to take that as serious as you.

At any rate, I still praise you for your admission and defending your country men. And I apologize for unfair swipes at India.

            Namaste.

          • kraitthegreat

Ah.. you’re a decent fellow ! Sorry for calling you a racist among other things, because it turns out the insult was undeserved + it takes a fair amount of goodness in one’s heart to apologize so namaste to you too !.

          • Mighty

Thank you, my man. The same goes to you too. World peace!

    • pookey

Moop, what does your comment have to do with the article or previous comments? it’s like you’ve gone out of your way to fine a negative story about Chinese and create some kind of slur. Whether the article is accurate or not is a moot point. I just find your intentions questionable.

      • moop

good question, allow me to answer:

        1) everytime there is a rape in india all i hear is how terrible 阿三 land is and how things like rape don’t happen in china. actually good news to know next time some mouthbreather writes another article about how awful foreign men are or how indians are awful people.

        2) I actually wanted to post this in the rape article from a while ago, but felt like if i put it there no one would see the link because its an old story. also didn’t feel like searching for that article.

just sharing an article pertinent to some of the others posted on this site in the past months in a place where people can actually look at it.

Are people self conscious about the size of their eyes? I had a crush on a girl not too long ago who had tiny eyes, you couldn’t tell if they were open. I dunno why people dislike them so much.

          • KAMIKAZIPILOT

I can’t speak for everyone but I know a lot of asians are especially self conscious of their eyes. Some are obsessed with “double eyelids” hence all the surgeries. I’ve seen cute girls with small eyes, big eyes and everything in between. I even thought a girl that someone else said had “cow eyes” was kinda cute, although I think I was the only one who thought she was cute. But if she has tiny eyes, like you can’t tell if they’re open or not, I don’t know , that wouldn’t be too attractive IMO.

        • KAMIKAZIPILOT

Yes I am a cutie pie. However, I’m also really short. Here’s a pic of me. I’m the short asian guy in case you can’t tell.

I sincerely hope sheng5205205 is satire or wumao. The reality is 100% opposite… both Saenuri and the opposition parties want nothing more than to be the first to lay claim to the political victory of achieving RoK military independence. When the Cheonan and Yeonpyeong Island incidents occured, the South Koreans readied their forces and reacted before even notifying the US command (which is a first, showing they are much more confident than they were in the past).

Another key difference is that South Korea *buys* military equipment from US (and to lesser degrees Russia and Israel). North Korea *begs* for the same stuff, and perhaps the most ironic part of sheng’s post is the most obvious point here: how many times has the North ran to US for food aid?

  • anti-kim

Why north korea is still there and the fat kim is so arrogant is because of China. In order to stop this fatty kim from being cruel to the innocents, we should collectively oppose our government’s kind treatment towards north korea.

She is probably crying tears of relief because her head could have gone down the drain if official had died.

Random note, but her eyes are pretty. They look like a greyish hazel-like color.

  • Raoul Duke

She, like 99.99% of Asian women, has a really nice face. The North Koreans owe it to themselves to kill the fat boy, immediately, and start living. Right now, they’re just dying slow.
